Thinking of Spring??

I must confess that I am still enjoying the Summer Sun…errrrr…I mean the Winter Sun out on the desert!  But back home, my friend Claire is dreaming and stitching SPRING!

Isn’t this the perfect wool project to get you through those last few dreary days of Winter?!  This is a Maggie B. pattern for Needl Love called Early Blooms!  No one designs wool projects better than Maggie B!!

Keep stitching, Claire…Spring is right around the corner!!

Today we are having our ANNUAL Quilt Show here at the Sands RV Resort!!  If you are in the Desert Hot Springs area make sure you drop by…we will be displaying all of the projects that we have been working on, PLUS all the other artists will be displaying their master pieces!  Love to see you!

Have a terrific Tuesday and Happy Quilting!~P

  1. What are the hours of the show?????

  2. oh that really is a sweet woolie basket! Maybe I need to start a spring project!

  3. Beautiful piece. I have a few with flowers, but need to finish one thing first, then I can make some new things.

  4. Love Maggie's style, just the added touch of the triangles makes the basket unique.

  5. I think I need to start somthing spring too. Adorable!

    Carolyn :)

  6. Have fun gals! Next year I will be there to help!

  7. Oh, for those of us not fortunate to be in DHS, can you give us a virtual tour on Smilebox? Just sayin' would love to see your wonderful creations!

  8. When will you be heading back home? I think your friend must miss you a lot.

  9. Claire's basket is so very cute, especially the daffodils. The fields, near our house, on Mount Newton X are brimming with daffodils. Even though it has been rainy and the fields are quite muddy, the pickers are out in full force. When those daffys start popping up, then I know it's Spring for sure!

  10. Hope you will share pictures for those of us that can't make it..

  11. That is a sweet block - can't wait to see pics of the quilt show!

  12. When you are working with wool, what do you use to hold the pieces in place. I am finding I am not happy with the steam a seam and the lapel stick gets me needle a bit gummy.
