A little slice of Hemet…

It dawned on me this morning that I still haven’t shown you what the fabulous quilters of Hemet do ALL YEAR LONG…and that is make wonderful quilts for their men and women in service!

At the Hemet Quilt Show in February I visited the stage area of the show and found these gorgeous patriotic quilts…just a small sampling of the quilts that are ready to be shipped out to the men and women in service!

These are no ordinary quilts…we are talking works of art!  They are show stoppers, award winning quilts!

Racks and rack of them…and this is just a small sampling of their yearly quota!  Simply amazing!

And each of the quilts is adored with this label…or one similar depending on WHO made the quilt!  How special is this!

It gave me a warm and fuzzy feeling looking at these labels!  Just imagine receiving such a quilt!  A true treasure…maybe even a quilt destined to become an heirloom…to be draped or hung or used with pride!  Who knows?  One things for sure, the soldier who receives a Hemet Guild’s quilt is going to feel mighty special…as he or she should!

Way to go Hemet Quilters!!  What an example of good citizenship, pride of country and a show of appreciation for the services and sacrifices made!  It just warms the heart!

Have a thrilling Thursday and Happy Stitching!~P
