Some of you have been asking about the LOOT accumulated on this year’s travels!! Well here it is..or most of it!!
[FYI…Hubby and I no longer buy gifts for each other for Christmas, Birthdays and Anniversaries…so when we go down south he buys the toys that he wants and I do the same…It’s called Guilt Free Shopping!]
So here’s what Hubby bought me this year…:o)
Geeze…thanks Santa for all this lovely wool!! Trust Santa to bring all the colours that I want and need! Yeah…lots of neutrals for the dye pot!
Happy Birthday to ME!! Thanks hon! Love all those star fabrics and honey buns…where ever did you find the berry branches?…and I LOVE the old Baby Brother Sewing Machine…
What? For our Anniversary?? You shouldn’t have!! Yardage and charm packs what a great combo!
You REALLY shouldn’t have…!! Wow! I love these 5” squares of Christmas flannels! How did you KNOW?!
Enough batting to last me the year!! Wow!! Thank YOU!
Yarn dyed and printed Daiwaibo! He KNOWS the way to this gal’s heart!
Not to mention the homespun's…after all I’m just a country girl at heart!
I think that I must have been a VERY good girl this year!!
Don’t you just love it!! Hubby gets his gizmos and gadgets and I get my fabric!! Yup…it’s a win-win! This way we get exactly what we need and want and we no longer have to return a thing!
SEW…now I better get cracking and sew something!
Have a Super Saturday and Happy Quilting~P
What a great idea. The only gift that is missing is thread. Have fun playing with your fabrics.
ReplyDeleteYour self-purchased gifts make me drool. You have very good taste!!! I'm sure it feels great to be home where you can spread it all out and start cutting and sewing.
ReplyDeleteWe are like that too, we share our money, so buying gifts is silly. He treats me to shopping when we go out and gets me new computers and things when I need them, much more fun for me.

Wow, like Karen said...great idea!!! Looks like Christmas came early at your house, LOL. Well dig in and enjoy!!! Hugs...
ReplyDeleteLove seeing your treasures! You will have so much fun playing...can't wait for you to get into your sewing room and sew, sew, sew!
ReplyDeleteYou must have been a VERY good girl! Love your Baby Brother!
ReplyDeleteLook at that haul - WOW! I wouldn't feel guilty about that either...not one bit... ;) Looking forward to seeing what you create!
ReplyDeleteIt is sew wonderful to get exactly what you want...and need!
ReplyDeleteYou made quite a haul. It's so fun to fabric shop. Plus you are getting some deals here in US, and in OR no sales tax. Can't wait to see what you make with all your stuff.
ReplyDeleteOF COURSE you've been a good girl! I can't imagine any differently!
ReplyDeleteSanta is such a smart man, isn't he! Love the Daiwaibo fabric, hoping to do a big project with mine this year.
ReplyDeleteLOL! You'd better put that loot under lock and key Paulette before someone stages a raid! And what is Santa's email so I can send him my list :)
ReplyDeleteSounds like you have it all figured out! Looks like some fun times ahead for you.:)
ReplyDeleteOh, what a great pile of goodies! Looks like it would fit right in with my stash...your taste is very much like mine it seems! Have fun with it and I can't wait to see what you creat with all that loot!
ReplyDeleteWe also do not buy gifts for each other anymore. We just buy what we want, when we want.
ReplyDeleteDon't you just love it when you get home after snowbirding and unleash all those wonderful "gifts" you purchased. Touching, petting and loving each and everyone of them. You made a grand haul. Good job! LOL!
Santa knows just what to select for you. Smart shopper.
ReplyDeleteOh that baby sewing machine is to die for!!!! And holy loot! Well done LOL.
ReplyDeleteAwesome! Your shopping is amazingly beautiful.
ReplyDeleteYou're just too funny, Paulette!:) At least you're getting what you want!:) So glad you made it home safe and sound! Thanks for sharing all your pics of travels and quilt shops! Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteEnjoyed following your travels and seeing all the goodies that you bought. Will be looking forward to seeing the end results of all that fabric and wool.
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas, Happy Birthday and Happy Anniversary to you!!
What a haul! I love it all.
ReplyDeleteWe've been doing the exact same thing for years. Works for us too so why not, huh? No returns that way.
Great idea! My dad always said it would be more fun for each of us to buy our own gifts and wrap them and everyone else would be surprised at what each of us really wanted. Great to be back home I'm sure.
ReplyDeleteWhat a thoughtful husband you have to buy exactly what you need:) Mine does that too! One year my sister-in-law held up her arm and showed me this beautiful diamond bracelet and said: "look have much my husband loves me". I held up my bags of fabric and said "this is how much mine loves me". I have a lot more fun with my fabrics than a bracelet!:) And I don't have to worry about insurance either!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy being home!
Oh ya my type of "gift giving" - no returns - and it's always the perfect gift lol. yes you were a good girl - and you will create wonderful things from it. Glad your home safe and sound - there's no place like home :).
ReplyDeleteHugs - Karen
Love your point of view!!
ReplyDeleteYou're darling. Looks like you are ready for summertime sewing... Hubby knows the ways to your heart... That's what meters... I'm all smiles.... Can't wait for my turn one of these years....
