Yucca or Bust…

Yesterday eight of the Clubhouse Quilters headed for the hills…the Yucca Hills!  And man, it was sweet!  It was a good 10 degrees cooler…perfect for shopping!  The Palm Springs area has been in a heat wave…well into the 90’s-oven weather!

First stop was Joshua Trees Bible Mission Thrift Shop where most of us found some form of treasure…then off to Fabric Outlet and finally Mimi’s Quilt Shop!  I forgot to take pictures of the first two shops…I guess I was too busy looking!

Here are the lovely ladies in this year’s Yucca Road Trip!

We took the wee shop by storm…

This is their classroom/long arm business…

Several of the ladies bought the kit to make these lovely placemats and they asked me to put it on the blog!  This way the picture will be at their fingertips!  I’m not the only one to go back and retrieve a picture or a memory!  Got to love blogging!

We had lunch at the Sizzler Restaurant in Yucca…oh man, their Salad Bar was wonderful…(notice the title of this post…Yucca or BUST…which is what we felt like upon leaving the Sizzler!)  The best part… the AC was on full tilt!  We could have stayed there all afternoon…if only we had brought our hand work!! haha  Can’t you visualize THAT one?

Have a wonderfully wicked Wednesday and Happy Stitching!~P
