Yucca or Bust…

Yesterday eight of the Clubhouse Quilters headed for the hills…the Yucca Hills!  And man, it was sweet!  It was a good 10 degrees cooler…perfect for shopping!  The Palm Springs area has been in a heat wave…well into the 90’s-oven weather!

First stop was Joshua Trees Bible Mission Thrift Shop where most of us found some form of treasure…then off to Fabric Outlet and finally Mimi’s Quilt Shop!  I forgot to take pictures of the first two shops…I guess I was too busy looking!

Here are the lovely ladies in this year’s Yucca Road Trip!

We took the wee shop by storm…

This is their classroom/long arm business…

Several of the ladies bought the kit to make these lovely placemats and they asked me to put it on the blog!  This way the picture will be at their fingertips!  I’m not the only one to go back and retrieve a picture or a memory!  Got to love blogging!

We had lunch at the Sizzler Restaurant in Yucca…oh man, their Salad Bar was wonderful…(notice the title of this post…Yucca or BUST…which is what we felt like upon leaving the Sizzler!)  The best part… the AC was on full tilt!  We could have stayed there all afternoon…if only we had brought our hand work!! haha  Can’t you visualize THAT one?

Have a wonderfully wicked Wednesday and Happy Stitching!~P

  1. Were there any old quilts at Joshua Tree?

  2. A very good road trip I might say--how's that quiet husband of yours doing??

  3. Fun road trip and wonderful store, love seeing all the quilts on the wall.

  4. Looks like you had lots of fun! (as always) I have never taken that trip. looked great. Thanks for the pictures so I can pretend I have been on that trip. Have a great Wed.

  5. I am SO jealous- not just for the fun but the weather. We had snow AGAIN last night, not a lot but we still have so much on the ground. Wah!

  6. I love to see the pictures of all those wonderful quilt shops as we don't have even one here! It looks like heaven to me!

  7. You sure have some fun road trips! Love seeing the shops and those smiling faces!
