Martha’s Marvellous, Magical Quilt…

Yesterday when we left you, Martha was slaving away over these lovely paper pieced blocks….

Well thanks to the magic of the camera…she has taken them from here…all the way to…

…to HERE!!  Yes, Martha has FINISHED her quilt top!  Amazing isn’t it!

Trust me, it’s way more vibrant and vivid in real life!  These pictures DO NOT do this quilt justice!!

The pattern is called “Summer Solstice” and it is a Judy Niemeyer design.  Martha purchased it as a kit and it more than lived up to her expectations!

Yowzers!  Makes paper piecing my wee houses look like mere child’s play!  This reminds me of paint by numbers except it’s paint by fabric and instead of paint brushes you are using a sewing machine…

Incredibly wonderful!! Thanks for sharing, Martha!  I can’t wait to see what you bring to the table to work on next year!

Well it’s our Spring Fling Quilt Shop Hop weekend in our area!  SEVEN SHOPS are participating…from here to Corona!  We will be barrelling down the freeway with Pauline behind the wheel, just like last year!!  We had a blast then and I’m sure this year will be just as fun and exciting!  Stars and Scraps Quilt Shop has changed buildings so that will be fun to explore!  Can’t wait…I say, bring it on!

Have a thrilling Thursday and Happy Quilting!~P
