Tumblers Aplenty…

It all started back in the Fall of 2010…back when ‘Sew Scrappy Magazine’s Fall issue’ came out…do remember this one?

Yup…I fell in love with Tumblers Aplenty…it immediately went onto my “To Do List” and on May 28, 2011 I broke ground…I mean fabric!!  Kathy from ‘Quilting Along the Gorge’ lent me her tumbler GO! die (thanks Kathy!) and I was in tumbler heaven!!  (Got to love the accuracy of a BLOG!)

Well yesterday, I FINALLY finished my Tumbler Aplenty flimsy…another UFO bites the dust!!  (insert a Happy Dance HERE!!)

She’s big…bigger than I planned…but I didn’t want any left over tumbler blocks!  You know what happens when you have left-overs…you’ve got to make a tumbler stew…or a tumbler casserole…or a tumbler pie…and frankly my taste for tumblers has been satisfied!!

So this baby goes into the ‘To Be Quilted Bin’…along with several other UFO finishes…Let’s FIRE UP that mid-arm!!

Thanks for tumbling by…it’s always great to see you!!  Have a marvellous Monday and Happy Stitching!

  1. Love your tumbler flimsy. I sent mine off to the quilter last week. I thought I would use up my 5 inch squares making this but, alas, I think there are enough left to make another. Have a fun Monday.

  5. Congratulations, Paulette! It looks fantastic. :D

I didn't get the first Sew Scrappy magazine, but I did buy the second, and I am still making and planning quilts from that one. They are dangerous!

  6. Well, today I dumped my basket of scraps and am ironing them and placing them by types, so maybe a scrappy quilt is in my future, lol. I need to find a better way to store them so when I want a piece I can find the type I want, now it has just become a jumbled mess.

  11. I love your tumbler quilt. Accuquilt's tumbler die is awesome. I made a California King tumbler quilt and it's my favorite that I keep on our bed. I quilted it with Circle Lord swirls and wouldn't change a thing! Happy quilting!
