A Visit from a UFO!

With the Autumn Quilt FINISHED, I had nothing to do with my HANDS while watching TV last night…I couldn’t relax…I couldn’t concentrate…I felt almost NAKED!!  So I rummaged around in the UFO cupboard and pulled out the bin that held my JAM ‘Basket of Life’ quilt blocks.  It felt SO good to have something small and light to work on after that heavy wool quilt!

So I stitched on the wool stars and then finished off the French knot berries…

And before I knew it another block was done!

Zooming in for a close-up…

Then I did the same thing with this block…

I was so happy that EVERYTHING was in the JAM Basket bin… needles, all the threads and hoop and wool…even a wee pair of scissors…all I had to do was…

STITCH!  Ahhhhhhhh!

I’m loving these baskets…maybe this quilt will get finished this year!!

Have a thrilling Thursday and Happy Quilting!~P

  1. I just love your blog. I am glad someone else has the same feelings about stitching. Sometimes when I pick up a hand-stitch project I feel like a junkie who just took a puff or shot or whatever they do. Your work is beautiful!

  3. Looking pretty darn good there! I agree... it's always relaxing to have the hands busy while watching tv in the evenings. I just rediscovered one of my needleturn applique BOM that's been unattended for about a year now... lol! There's just so many new designs being released all the time... it's hard to "pick just one"! lol!

  5. OMG, you've described exactly how I feel if I'm sitting for any extended period of time. I can't stand it. In fact, I pulled out a UFO last week to do the same thing.

  12. I just love those baskets, I'm on a mission myself trying to line up ufos to finish up. Opened up a storage box the other day and found three. I also must update my blog I have not blogged since my brother passed. Need to put up something happy and pretty.
