Where The Cows Come Home...

My 'Where The Cows Come Home' blocks are all stitched...(insert a happy dance here)... and are now waiting for cornerstones and borders!  One step closer to being FINISHED!!

Oh man, I love these blocks!

Thank you to KATHY CARDIFF and TAYLOR OLVERA for designing and gifting me the book, "Where The Cows Come Home," along with the sweetest bundle of Diamond Textiles fabric (which I used in the background)!  It was so thoughtful and generous of you both!  I loved every moment of stitching these blocks!  Your instructions were top notch...right down to your reversed template pieces and layout diagrams!  You made making these blocks SEW EASY!

I live out in the country...up on a hill overlooking little glimpses of ocean...but my view is mostly farmland and the prettiest YELLOW barn!  When I saw this quilt hanging in the 'Country Loft Quilt Shop' in LaMesa, CA, I KNEW I had to make it!
When I go for a walk, I walk by barns just like these...all different colours and shapes...just like these!
Aren't they wonderful!  Kathy and Taylor really did a wonderful job designing these barns and bringing them to life in their different settings!

This is the cover to their book..."Where the Cows Come Home"...beautiful isn't it!  You can order your own copy HERE...
...or you can just look at mine! :o))

I have to hurry and get that sashing on...the Cows have been waiting long enough!

Have a wicked Wednesday and Happy Stitching!~P

  7. I LOVE how your barns came out. I have that book and do plan to make it; I don't live in the country but I go to Wisconsin frequently so I feel like I'm a native. Now I'm inspired! Thanks for sharing!!
