Birds of a Feather...

Now THIS is why I love blogging...

Last March, while 'Snowbirding' down south, I wrote about the August 2015 edition of Quiltmania Magazine....and of course, posted a few pictures of the wonderful quilts inside!  Believe me, there were several...but it was THIS quilt that caught the eye of Ann, a friend and fellow retired teacher back home!  She fell in love with THIS quilt...

Well....Anne finally got her hands on the Quiltmania Magazine and just look at what she created!  Isn't it sweet!  I love how she made the birdhouses in different shades of blue!  By doing this, she changed the whole look of the quilt!  I think it has the feel of a summer's day...down at the beach!
Gorgeous quilt, Anne!!  Thanks for following along...and thanks for the great Show and Tell!  It added a ray of sunshine to this rainy West Coast day!  Hey, remember those classroom days filled with kids and Show and Tell....  Now we get to have our own Show and Tell...SEW much better! :o)) Yup...retirement's grand!

Have a wonderful Wednesday and keep on stitching!~P

  2. Love Anne's interpretation of that quilt. Super cute. It's funny how you may not notice a fantastic quilt pattern until someone does show and tell. I'm going to go and find that magazine in my pile!

  3. Yes, I like the blue birdhouses, and I really like the wavy quilting too. Great job, Anne, and thank you both for the photo!

  4. I love Anne's colour choices, more up my alley. But then I rarely follow the suggested colours also.

Hope you didn't loose anything with that windstorm we had yesterday.
