'Let It Snow' Mystery Quilt...

Claire and I both finished the first block of 'The 2016 Mystery Quilt' by Buttermilk Basin...and in record time!  We took one look at this sweet block and (temporarily) said to heck with those Spring Bowl Pillows!  When the iron's hot and the wool is out, you have got to stitch!

Here's Claire's...

 And here's mine!

We both can't wait to see the 'E' Block, which Stacy from Buttermilk Basin Blog will be releasing in the middle of February!  I predict that there will be a blizzard of wool happening around that time too..So stay tuned!

Thanks Stacy, for being so generous with your time and talents!  We are loving this Hop!

And so it's back to Spring pillows for us...and to help get us motivated...

My Paperwhites are blooming in full force...so PRETTY! Please ignore the reflection of the mad woman in her housecoat!  Yikes...I wonder who that is??

Have a terrific Tuesday and Happy Stitching!~P

  3. The only thing bad about Let It Snow, is going to be waiting until the 3rd Friday of the month to see the cuteness of the next one! You two little overachievers did a great job!

  4. The snowmen are absolutely adorable! I am new to wool and don't have much of a stash so I need to get a perfect red (because I like red) for the "L". I do have pieces for the rest and am looking for a good background. I think I stress too much over that LOL. I agree with Nancie Anne - it will be hard to wait for the next one. Thanks for sharing your pic - I love them.

  6. What are you using for thread to do the blanket stitch P, it looks just perfect. The matching wool yarn I wanted to use on another project is too thick and the wool from the kit is so fragile it's fraying badly on the edges so there the project sits undone! Even the Valdani I own is too thick for the wool shapes.

  8. I've prepped my templates but stalled on deciding a background had one idea but now thinking of another. Then the wool choices...meanwhile back at the farm I'm prepping my birds, almost ready to start with embellishing them.

  9. Loving your wool blocks from "let it snow" Paulette. Stacy always does such gorgeous BOM's, in fact I must finish last years!!! They are so cute and just draw you in so you just have to do them.

  11. Both blocks are great. The hard part is finding some wool different enough for the snow and the snowman. You don't want to use any yellow wool! ( sorry, I couldn't help it)

  12. Love it, I guess I should start mine, too. A blizzard of Mr L blocks! I guess it means a field trip to Renditions in Rags! Oh Joy!
