Tumbler Aplenty…

Do you remember this quilt?

image

It was in the Sew Scrappy Magazine’s Fall 2010 issue.  I loved this quilt and of course it went on my ‘TO DO LIST’!!image

So when my blogging friend, Kathy (Quilting Along the Gorge Blog) offered to lend me her 3 1/2” tumbler GO! die I jumped at the chance!

I pulled out these two Civil War Charm packs bought at the Calico Horse Quilt Shop…

…and in less than half an hour…I had a stack of these lovely little guys!

Man, I love my GO!  Thanks SEW much, Kathy!!

I hope you get to have some quilty fun today!

As for me, I am off to a garage sale…not to buy but to work.  My ladies group is having it’s annual Garage Sale to raise money for various charities.  Last year we raised over a $1000…and we are hoping that we can do the same this year…and if you look at all the ‘junk’ that we’ve donated, we should do just that!!  Let’s hope the sun shines!  Man I sure want a lot don’t I!!

Have a Super Saturday and Happy Quilting!~P

  2. That quilt is going to be lovely! Good luck on your garage sale. Wish I was near to come. It's been our favorite thing to do here in TN since we've moved here. The Estate Sales are especially great!

  17. Hmmm...I don't know Paulette. Just because you worked the garage sale doesn't mean you couldn't (and wouldn't) come home with a few little treasures!!! I'm waiting for todays post to see if I'm right...lol. Love that tumbler quilt. I've never made one, but it's on my "to do someday" list also.

  18. I think the cutting is the hardest part, but look how fast you went with the go! You'll have that done in no time at all.

  19. I agree with Kathie! I sure wish I had a GO! cutter when I made mine. However, mine was made of mini tumblers for a doll sized project... So I would likely have had to cut them myself anyway. However, I do have a stack of charm packs that need to be "tumblered"... Maybe I should just send them all to you for cutting! *GRIN*
Can't wait to see how things "GO"!
