AND…they call it…Puppy Love…

Remember Sandy?  Here she is enjoying a birthday margarita at the Olive Garden…notice the tan…cute little top…capris..yes this was taken when we were down in Palm Springs this Winter…sigh….  Ahh the good ol’days….

Well we are home now and gone are the capris, tans and margaritas…!

But there is some good news here!!  Sandy is a new first time grandma…her sweet little grand daughter was born in November.  When we were in JoAnn’s Fabric and Craft Shop they had a sale on Simplicity Patterns…$1 each!!  Sandy bought this one….

She thought it was cute and would be a nice clean alternative to a dirty buggy.  I assured her that I would help if she needed any help in making it….  I mean really how difficult could it be?

Well I got the call…. HELP!! This guy IS looking a little sad and forlorn…like are you ever going to finish me??  Sandy was having problems putting the lining in…AND don’t get me wrong…it WAS tricky…VERY tricky!!

But after a few hours :o) we figured it out…and as you can see the shopping buggy puppy is much happier…and so is Sandy!!

By the way do you notice anything different about Sandy…she has been dieting and exercising…man does she look GREAT!!

Yes the Puppy approves!!P1130808 So after our sewing ‘fun’…it was time for a late lunch…NOW this is MY idea of a diet!!  The Chicken salad was wonderful!  No Margaritas here…or any of Sherman’s carrot cake or chocolate chip cookies, or banana cream pie or….P1130810

…ahhhhh we DID have a great holiday!!

ON THE QUILTING FRONT~  Have you seen Lisa Bongean’s new line of flannels…they are OUT!!  The line is called Wool ’n Needle Flannels by Moda…very nice…it really does look like REAL wool!!

I can’t wait to see it in ‘real life’ and to actually touch it…If you want a close up you can see it HERE at United Notions…be warned it ain’t cheap…but then Cotton is going up in price!

Last night I actually saw a commercial for Cotton Fabric!!  That was a first for me…do you think quilters have stopped buying fabric and have turned to their STASH??  (shudder…) Just wondering..what are your thoughts??…

Blogger is down so I don’t know WHEN this will get posted BUT…don’t forget that tomorrow is the Christmas Quilt-A-Long with Sue and Cathi!!

I have to decide what to do…continue to  hand stitch the Settler’s Pride or start a Christmas project…hmmmm….

Have a FUN Friday and Happy Quilting!!

  4. Sandy looks great! I made one of those for Danielle, but rather plain in comparison.

We're in La Conner - just heading to nearby Burlington to go to Fred Meyer's big weekend sale.
