Check it out~
This quilt was made at a Retreat...all of the quilters were asked to bring a few strips of their brightest fabric along with a a black and white print....
All of the fabric was thrown onto a table and it was a free-for-all! Each of the quilters built a block using the "quilt as you go" method (you use the 12" x 12" backing and batting square to sew your strips onto, starting with the middle black and white strip.)
This how the back looks...Nice isn't it!
Another group of quilters attended a class...and then each went home and built their quilts....Here's their finishes...all so different...yet so similar!
TAH-DAH...
And some close-ups....
And more charity quilts...so soft and cozy!
LOVED this Scrap Happy Quilt made by Just Judy!
I don't know if you can see it...but look at how the binding is made from two fabrics...red on the front
...and navy on the back!! I don't know how Just Judy did this...but she NEEDS to do a Workshop on how it's done! Inquiring quilters want to know!:o))
The quilting is also STUNNING and was done by Hazel!
A lovely Christmas table topper! SEW pretty and ready for Christmas SO early!
This antique quilt left me speechless...DDG (drop dead gorgeous!!) It's 150 years old and in perfect shape....
Hand pieced and hand quilted, no stains but a bit of discolouration which only adds to the charm of this quilt! I love me a two tone quilt!
And you have to have a close-up...or two! My camera really picks up the aging...which was much more subtle in 'real life'.
Aude shared her Christmas stockings...they are truly works of Art! I love the way she took pins, buttons and brooches from her late mother's things and used them to decorate her stocking. Now it will be like having a little piece of her mother with her at Christmas....
And she did the same thing with her Mother-In-Laws things...making a special stocking in her honour!
Yes, Aude is taking this Heritage Stocking Challenge to heart and is making stockings for her whole family...including that cowboy Santa stocking for her brother! What a wonderful idea...but you have to start early!
And I loved this runner...very pretty....
That's it! Another Show and Tell from the talented quilters at Heritage Quilting! I sure notice more and more projects coming in as we get closer to Christmas! I say BRING IT ON!!!:o))
Have a terrific Tuesday and Happy Stitching!~P

Seems like a great way to finish something quickly. Oh, those Heritage Quilters, they really know how to do things.
