Thrifty Tuesday...

I am doing a happy dance here in my corner of the world!  I have been collecting Japanese yarn dyed and Japanese prints for a few years...they now have their own tub :o))!  Here a fat quarter, there a fat quarter!  They do manage to multiply!
Well last week while at the local Thrift Shop, I spotted three ziplock bags in the sewing and craft section...for $4.00 each!  They were stapled shut so I couldn't peek inside but I could see Japanese prints on top...and for only $4, what the heck...worth the chance that I had found something GOOD!

Well..good was an understatement!  They were huge strips of Japanese prints from Lucien!  Gorgeous taupe and blues, green and pink prints!

This was from one bag alone!

 Lovely colours....
And with the two bags put together, I made a mountain!  I was thrilled!

In the third bag I had no idea what I had!  But it was full of these FINISHED blocks...I just need to stitch them together and I have an instant Scrap Happy baby quilt!

This wee quilt top will make a great changing pad...I just need to quilt and bind it...

SEW...this morning as I sip my coffee and look at the pictures, only one word comes to mind....

"SCORE!!!"
Bet you read my mind...

Have a terrific Tuesday and Happy Quilting!~P

  3. SEW lucky! this makes me feel like I should go to the thrift stores more often... Of course, then I might buy more things that I really don't need.... But, if I found something like this, I don't think I would be able to pass it up. There's a gentleman that belongs to my quilt guild, and he makes some really kinda cool quilts from fabrics he's thrifted.
