Still Smilin'...

The wedding is over but the smiles are still plastered on everyone's face!  Everything was perfect...  Mama shed a few of tears and the Bride and Groom's dogs barked at their "I dos"...Like I said, the wedding was perfect!

Here are the newlyweds posing in front of the Fairmont Palliser in downtown Calgary... looking radiantly HAPPY!  The wedding was small and perfect...held in a Heritage Park over looking the city of Calgary, with the reception in a Heritage log cabin Hall...the only thing missing was Grandma's Log Cabin quilt hanging on the wall!  Seriously this was the perfect venue for this outdoorsy couple!

I love this picture of Erin and Greg!  It was taken by their photographer, Melissa,...she is a friend of the bride and groom and her skills with a camera are out of this world...You can see her work HERE!  Her business is called Bake Photography and is based in Vancouver but she flew to Calgary to spend the day with the happy couple!  I don't think she put her camera down the whole day!   I watched her in action and let me tell you, she was incredible!  She thought of everything...from lighting, to positioning your body, to location... and she was organized and positive, fun and funny and got the job done!  Melissa even took tons pictures of the guests with their children!  I can't wait to see the rest of the pictures!

And as promised, here are pictures of the Wedding Quilt...a great quilt to gift to two teachers!.  Greg is standing on a chair while hold this quilt up as it is HUGE!

I hope you can see Hazel's quilting!(click on the pic. for a close-up).  She did a beautiful job quilting it with Baptist Fans and it was perfect for this quilt!

 Zooming in for a close-up...
The Quilt is called 'The School House Quilt' and can be found in an old edition of the Australian magazine "Patchwork and Quilting" (Vol. 8 No. 7)

So ends the week's festivities...and a new beginning for two very special people!  Wishing them both a life filled with love, laughter and much happiness! xo

...Oooh and I have to tell you, Erin's new Mother-In-Law is a QUILTER...yup, we had lots to talk about! :o))

Have a Fun Friday and Happy Quilting!~P
