If I was a mother bird then I would be building my nest out of these lovely shavings….
I’ve got tons of it….
Yup…shavings from squaring up a gazillion half square triangles…UGH…will they ever end?
See that stack of yellow…you guessed it…they still need squaring up! Another day of slicing and dicing should do it!
On another note…Look at the surprise gift that I got from Blogging friend, Karen (Log Cabin Quilter)…
Wool…gorgeous, soft, hand dyed mottled wool!! AND it’s not even my birthday!
Is this not going to make the perfect sky…for a Spring mat…or maybe the blue background for a Snowman mat…Winter or Spring?? Decisions…decisions??
Regardless of the season, it was darn nice of you, Karen! Very thoughtful…and very much appreciated! THANK YOU SEW MUCH, KAREN!! Bloggers are the BEST!
Have a super Saturday and Happy Quilting!~P
Karen is one special blog friend and she sure did you right with that pretty wool! Enjoy your weekend!
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful surprise from Karen, beautiful shade of blue and would be nice in a lot of projects.

Lovely wool in blue!
ReplyDeleteI just finished a Chevron quilt top in those wonderful grays and blues and goldy yellows. I added orange too. Put those trimmings out for the birds....I'm sure they would love them.
It is extremely tedious to trim blocks down. Love the colors you're working with and your new wool looks yummy.:)
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your slice and dice day! I'm squaring up flying geese today and I don't think I'll ever be done!
ReplyDeleteThose little shards of fabric remind me of Robin's eggs. So pretty.
ReplyDeleteSquaring up blocks can be pretty tedious but in the end it is so worth it to have everything go together like you want it.
