Baskets and Blooms…

Have I got a treat for you!

Seattle Judy has finished her ‘Baskets and Blooms’ quilt…or finished it as much as she can down here!  She needs her STASH in order to do the applique that goes around the edge!!  Got to love your stash!  P1220684

The blocks are big…and beautiful!

P1220685

The colours are rich and warm…MY colours!

P1220686

See the outside border…that’s where Judy is putting the appliqued crows and flowers.

P1220695

Yup…there’s Judy…you done good!!

P1220696

This would be a great quilt to make to use up those bits and pieces of left over homespuns…you know from all those ‘Homespun Houses’….Hmmmmm…..

P1220697

The pictures REALLY do not do this quilt justice…WAY nicer in real life!!  Yup, this quilt just went on my ‘TO DO LIST’…so many quilts, so little time!

Did I mention that I have the BOOK ‘Country Comforts’ by Cheryl Wall, that this quilt is in??  (insert happy dance!!)

Yup…it was a gift…from Seattle Judy..Birds of a Feather flock together you know!

P1220699

Here’s what the ‘Basket and Blooms’ quilt looks like finished…

P1220700

But there is also THIS QUILT…P1220702

…AND this quilt…JUST LOOK at the homespuns!!…

P1220703

…AND this…well I think you get the idea!!  This book is wonderful and FULL of ‘TO DO’ quilts… but the question is…which one TO DO first?!  AND do I have enough homespuns at home waiting for me??  Maybe I need just ONE MORE shopping trip…?! Hmmm…?

While I ponder THAT ONE…YOU have a terrific Tuesday and Happy Quilting!~P

  1. STOP! You had me at Baskets. I'm in love. Totally in love. I will never live long enough to make all the quilts I want, and you're not helping the cause at all. But thanks for all the eye candy. LOL!

  2. Love the quilt and I have the book too. Wednesday my friends and I are going to Something to crow about in Springfield Oregon and the Quilt works in Eugene, I think I will take the book with me. Enjoy reading your blog each morning. Sally from Oregon

  9. I love this quilt! I am new to quilting. I have one nosey question, why did Judy sew that one square in as white??? It must have a purpose, the sample in the book doesn't have it sewn that way. I enjoy and love your blog. <3 Debby (Wisc.)

  12. I was looking to see if Mary from Quilt Hollow had been by yet. She loves crows and will love the design for the quilt. I think I have that book and off to check it out.
