Pass it on….

Some time ago Sarah at Sarah’s Prim Treasures won a pattern to make a runner called ‘Point Taken’.  I guess the idea of this particular give away is that the winner is to make the runner and then pass the pattern on!  So Sarah made the runner and is now passing on the pattern in the form of a give away.  The lucky recipient is to make the runner and then pass it on… Brilliant idea!

Point Taken is so cute and easy!  And it just might be passed on to you!  Before you head on over to Sarahs….

Remember yesterday’s runner….well after much searching, I found the pattern to this snowman  runner. (Sorry about the glare….)  I won’t  be making it again so let’s start passing it on.  First of all this pattern is called “In the Meadow” and was designed by Leanne Anderson in 2003.

P1030730

This is Leanne’s version- snowman on one half and on the other half she stitched “In the meadow you can build a snowman…” which was cute but I wanted two snowmen instead.  See the cute pillow in the top right corner…it is the same snowman that is on the other table topper….so you get two patterns in one!!  Lucky you!P1030728 P1030717

The little pillow snowman pattern is also in this pattern called ‘Let it Snow’ (they put it on a pillow, you can put them on a large log cabin…)

So if you would like to win the pattern to both these table toppers then leave a comment…I will pick a winner tomorrow…BUT remember after you make the project/projects it’s your job to pass the pattern on….

And don’t forget to hurry over to Sarah’s to try to win her runner….you just might win both!
Don’t laugh… it CAN happen!  Yesterday was definitely my LUCKY day as I won TWO give aways!  YES! TWO!!!!

I don’t want to brag or anything….BUT…

This is what I won from Quilt Hollow….

Isn’t it lovely!  And it’s not going to be a table topper OR a Christmas Tree Skirt!  I am going to use it as a wall hanging to cover an electrical box that is located in the hall between my kitchen and living room.  The picture that I had covering it mysteriously fell off the wall and broke while my daughters house sat last winter.  I’m thinking party….but no one’s talking….Thanks so much Mary and… the girls thank you too!  :o)

And I won this!!!  Krista from Poppyprints made it!  It’s a thread catcher and boy do I need this!!  Isn’t it cute…look there is a pin cushion on top and a little bag for the threads.  My sewing room floor is covered in thread, little corners, pieces of felt, and little confetti pieces of paper from the back of appliqué….will Krista turn my dump into a pristine palace?  She is going to try….hey this might make a good TV show…Thanks Kristin!  I  just love it!

So the house is going to be really spruced up just in time for Christmas!  The garbage will be up off the floor and the electrical box covered….doesn’t get any better than this!

Have a terrific Tuesday and Happy Quilting!

  3. I love that "Pass it on idea"! I tend to only want to make a pattern once, and then it sits around gathering dust. I just might have to do a purge around here. Congrats on your lucky day, too!

  5. Oh boy! I just stopped by for a quick read and wowee - a giveaway :) What a great idea as a pass it along pattern - one of these days I'll have to take a look at the patterns I have that I won't use again and post about it! I really like this idea - what a great way to share!! BTW, congrats on BOTH your wins yesterday - maybe your luck will rub off on me. I've entered a few blog giveaways in the 100 Block Hop from the Quilty Pleasures Blog. If you haven't visited them - take a peek at the blocks from today and enter at each designer's blog to win the magazine :) Good luck!!
