It’s Sweet Harmony…..

…from Moda…and I love it!  Some fabrics are like that…one glance and you have got to have it!  That’s how I felt about Harmony.  Sounds like a love story doesn’t it!  I have been in love with this fabric for about 8 months now!  I first saw this fabric line when I went to the Calico Horse….during the Spring Fling Shop Hop in the Palm Desert area (California).  I bought some there and every time I see this fabric I buy a little more…..

I take it out of the drawer every now and then…just to look ~ put all those lovely colours together, then put it back in the draw…waiting for the perfect pattern to jump out and sing Harmony!P1030779

I even took pictures of it in the Quilter’s Coop in Temecula, California….did I mention that this is my all time favourite quilting shop!!  LOVED IT!

Look at all the lovely Harmony in this shop!

Now that I have ‘enough’ (is there such a thing!) what do I do with it??  I have been going through quilting books and patterns but so far nothing has sung in Harmony….got any ideas for me?

GIVE-AWAYS SPOTTED!!!!  Inch Worm Fabrics is having a fantastic give-away~ the prizes are a Swanky Turnover(Moda) and a honey bun!  This is  part of their marathon of give-aways until the Grand opening of their Inch Worm fabric shop.  Hurry over and leave a comment.

Looks good enough to eat, doesn’t it?

Also Cath from Cath’s Pennies is giving away one of her penny rugs!  Yes, a finished penny rug not the pattern!  It is one that I have been drooling over….ok, ok…. I drool over ALL her penny rugs but this one is special…ok , ok…. they are ALL special …Just click over to her blog and leave a comment…nice and simple.  I’m number One so I haven’t got a snowball chance in ‘you know where’ of winning so I hope YOU do!!  (Have you noticed Number 1’s NEVER win!!  What’s with that?)

Is this not the cutest penny rug?  Spend some time on Cath’s blog…see the Scarecrow Penny  and the Snowman penny and the Sunflower Penny and the Pumpkin Penny…Told you! They are all gorgeous!!…

Those penny rugs are just too cute - love those little stockings! Thanks for the heads-up! (and I do seem to recall a number 1 winning on a give away - so hang in there!)

  5. The Penny Rug is lovely alright, I'll go visit shortly. Your fabrics are delicious, but that quilt you took the picture of doesn't do it for me. I know what you mean about the perfect pattern- when you see it you know! Have you seen the Nov/Dec 'Quiltmaker' magazine as ther are some interesting new patterns in there?

  6. orrrrr- what about that gorgeous velvet quilt- doing a reproduction number on it?

  9. Beautiful fabrics! Keep looking, I'm sure you'll find the perfect project for them....have you been to Moda's website to see if they have a project made from that line?
