What’s better than a Give-Away?….why, WINNING a Give-Away, of course! Look what came in the mail yesterday!
This lovely charm pack is what I won over at Marj’s blog, Eclectic Quilter’s. The fabrics is Heaven on Earth and is gorgeous-the photo does not do the fabric justice! So thank you Marj! I have had a lot of suggestions on what to make with this fabric…. I think it is going to have something to do with Spring….Make sure you check out Marj’s blog- Nothing like a good cup of coffee and checking up on Marj first thing in the morning! ….Morning, Marj!
Speaking of Give-Aways- check yesterday’s posting for my 100 Follower’s Give Away! Today is the last day to enter!
And speaking of mail….look what else came in yesterday’s mail!
Yes it is a new Dell Windows 7 laptop in my favourite colour…. Apple GREEN! AND yes it is for ME! It was a gift from my hubby and no it’s not my birthday, it’s not our anniversary and NO it’s not an early Christmas present! Now before you get all carried away with the “geeze what a great guy” (although yes, he is a great guy!!)…you have to realize why he got me this computer. Why you ask….because he doesn’t like to share!
My hubby is a computer nut….he has lived, breathed and worked with computers since before time…or when computers were the size of small rooms and needed punch cards. Who knew….? He spends A LOT of time on computers….he has his own blog and was instrumental in setting me up and getting me blogging. Since that faithful day I now spend WAY more time on the computer…almost as much time as my hubby! So I had him worried when I mentioned about a month ago that we would have to set up a computer schedule when we head South in the 5th Wheel RV in January….for instance, hubby would get the computer for one hour, I would get it for one hour (sounds fair to me….) Well the look on his face was sheer terror! (On our previous trips down south I would use the laptop computer (his OLD, PLAIN, SILVER Dell hee hee) to check e-mails and I might surf blogs for maybe an hour every evening.) Now things have changed….I AM A BLOGGER!
So meet ‘P Pod’ my new best friend…next to my hubby of course! Thanks Rick, I love my new ‘P Pod’! xx
Isn’t she lovely…..even the mouse is adorable….

Hop on board and we’ll take the ride together!
Have a thrilling Thursday (or in my case a drilling Thursday as I am off to the dentist…:o( ) and Happy Quilting!
love the green apple. so nice and fresh.
ReplyDeleteI love the colour! DH and I are always fighting over whose turn it is on the computer - we were just discussing last night that maybe we should get another laptop. I'm going to show him this post ;-)
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on winning the fabric, I know you will make something beautiful with it.
ReplyDeleteLove the green, makes it fun. I am the opposite, I won't share mine, lol. So, I had to buy him one and now his is dying, ugh.
Debbie
I love your new green lap top!!!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on your giveaway win.
Cute lap top! Weren't you lucky winning that pretty fabric.
ReplyDeleteWell, hello there ‘P Pod’ - nice to meet you! Love that green! Good thing the hubby don't want to share his computer ;o)
ReplyDeleteLucky you winning that yummy charm pack!
Congrats on your blog win - and wow love that laptop! Hey, I remember punch cards, lol....
ReplyDeleteWe each have to have our own computers too, two teens and dh and I - I can't imagine the bickering and bribery that would go on without them! But we don't have anything like apple green laptops.
Wahoo Paulette. I wish my hubby was a computer nut who hated sharing.... that is a beautiful thing to look at.
ReplyDeleteWelcome to your P-Pod. I'd be interested to hear how you get on with Windows 7. As for punch-cards, etc, yep, my DH and I also worked in the computer industry at that time. Computers neede air-conditioning, must be in rooms with anti-static carpets/mats, etc. That takes me back.
ReplyDeleteAren't you the lucky gal?! Love the name! Remember when people used to name their cars - do they still do that? For all the time we spend on our computer, I love the idea of naming it... I'll think of you and P-Pod zipping around the bloggerhood together! ...now what to name mine??
ReplyDeleteOne other quick note... I got SO behind on blog reading and am catching up. (14 for you... how'd that happen?! It's that phrase, "all work and no play".) As I was reading your posts, I realized I need a rule when I visit. Keep the credit card far away!! You find the best temptations! I do love your blog.
How great to just receive a unexpected gift & a laptop to boot enjoy it plus your prize
ReplyDeleteHugs Janice
What a lovely little computer! Have you planned to make a sweet little carrier bag for it too?
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on your new DELL. Here we DON'T share computers, my hubby was so lucky to get an old laptop from his brother, I say lucky because I always get very grumpy when he uses mine :(
