When I taught Grade One we always celebrated the 100th Day of School. Usually the kids had to bring 100 of their favourite things….well it’s too bad that I am retired because I could bring all 100 of my blog followers!! Wouldn’t that be fun!! I could fly you all in from Iceland and Finland and Australia and USA and Brazil and….we could get the map out and actually find your home towns, we could make graphs of how many were from Iceland, how many from Australia…and so on…..but alas….I’m retired… STOP! Will someone please SLAP me!! What am I talking about! Sheeesh….I’m retired…let me re-think this- why I’d fly you in and we could have a quilting party…forget the graphs and maps…! We could go on a quilting retreat…just you and me and 99 other blogging quilters….we could sew and eat and gab till the cows came home….Alas…too bad I’m on a lowly, (and I DO mean lowly) teacher’s pension! So we are going to have to settle for GIVE-AWAYS instead! Whoop-tee-dooo! I do like a give-away!! I hope you do too!
#1 GIVE AWAY~
A fabric pack of lovely Christmas fabric- eight strips 4”X 45” and two packages of vintage rick-rack. #2 GIVE-AWAY~
A Crab-Apple Hill Autumn Stitchery Pillow pattern and three packages of vintage rick-rack (light blue, dark blue and brown).
#3 GIVE-AWAY~
A Primitive Gathering’s penny rug pattern called “Saltbox Table Mat” and some wool to help you make it. I haven’t made this penny rug YET! I can’t wait because it is gorgeous!
A close-up of the pattern cover…sorry about the glare but my camera flash reflects on the picture…. but you do get the idea of how cute this wool felt penny rug is.
#4 Give Away~
Another Crab Apple Hill stitchery Pillow Pattern – only this one is for Christmas. Plus 4 packages of vintage rick rack and trim.
Isn’t this pillow cute….and the stitchery is lovely…I can see this sitting on your couch this Christmas!
AND finally~ I have saved the best for last!
#5 Give-Away~
A “Heart to Hand” wool needle felt runner called Christmas Sampler and Claire donated this pattern! Wasn’t that sweet of her! Both Claire and I made this wool project last year and we loved it!
I am also including some wool roving to help you with your project.
You really do have to see this made up as the pattern cover does not do it justice! The runner that I made last Christmas was a gift for my daughter, Erin. So I phoned and asked her to send me some pictures of the runner. Here are her pictures….didn’t she do a lovely job? I think she should become my personal blog photographer!
Very artistic!
Ohhhhh… nice new fence….my new ‘son-in-law’ has been busy building it!! Good job, Rhett! Life will be so boring with no more skunk families running through the backyard!
How adorable is little Frosty!
So let’s get down to the rules of the give-away. Let’s keep it simple. Leave a Comment for one entry and if you are a follower you get two more, for a total of three entries. (Make sure you tell me whether you are a 1 or 3 entry person!) And don’t be shy, there’s still time to become a Follower….I’m now looking forward to my 200 Followers Give Away!! :o)
I will be picking the 5 lucky winners on Friday, Nov.6th at 8 am. Here’s where it gets fun! I will post the winning names and email you – the first one to email me back gets first pick of the give-aways. I hope that works for you. Thank you to my wonderful 100 (or more) blogging friends! It’s been a joy getting to know you all! Good Luck!
ANOTHER GIVE AWAY!!!
Hold onto your hats! Another GIVE AWAY has been spotted! Hopefully your not tired of looking at and reading about Give Aways (yeah right! :o)) because Home Sweet Home Quilt Co. is having a very SWEET G.A. Check it out….ahhhh I’m in Shangri-la…fabric that is…
Have a winning Wednesday and Happy Quilting!

That is really great! congratulations on 100. It did not take long did it!! I have been an avid follower from the start and would love to be in the mix of it all so count me down for 3 entries. I am sure because of it it won/t be long before you will be well on your way to 200. This virtual retreat sounds like fun. Maybe we should all blog about it at the same time! showing pics of what we are making. How about you set up a timetable, eg, we arrived at your place at say, 9am, started on a project and broke up for lunch at midday and showed or told what we ate, back at the projects at 1.30pm until 4pm. and then took another photo at what we achieved.
