Are you a hoarder? I think I am….a fabric hoarder that is!….Last summer I bought this little bundle of fat quarters at the Buggy Barn….it’s Christmas Magic by Lynette Anderson…AND I love it!
Let me open the bundle so that you can see what I don’t want to part with….
How adorable is this fabric? Tiny snowmen and reindeer…so sweet!
I love it SO much that I don’t want to use it! Has this ever happened to you? You love the fabric so much that you don’t want to cut it up? It must be a sickness… I mean, Christmas is right around the corner and I still don’t want to use it…So how am I going to cure myself? …. EASY!
You go buy MORE!! Works for me!! Now, where’s my cutter?
Have a super Saturday and happy Quilting!!
I LOVE the way you think!!!
ReplyDeleteI so love your logic Paulette! I'm right there with you!
ReplyDeleteThat fabric is so, so sweet.
I say use it while you're still head over heels in love with it!! But buying more works too!!
ReplyDeleteI do love her christmas fabric too, but it is too nice, not to use in a quilted piece that you can enjoy displaying in your home.

This is my take on fabric buying and usage.
ReplyDeleteMany people collect stamps, coins, antiques, and whatever. They would never dream of using these items. So why should we quilters feel that we must always use our collections of fabrics? When it eventually speaks to us or we rediscover it while "shopping" our stash then we will enjoy it all over again. Yep, I'm a hoarder!
Nope, I'm not a hoarder. I do however plan for the future.....possibly way, way, way into the future! ;>)
ReplyDeletehahaha! loved reading your post and all the comments! Some fabric purchases are strictly for oohing and aahing and fondling lovingly - wouldn't think of actually cutting into them! Love this fabric - I don't think I've seen it before. Cute, cute, cute!
ReplyDeletePaulette I have the same problem...I buy it look at it and thats as far as I can go.....LOL
ReplyDeleteI would say i was a collector who then translates the fabric into things. I do love looking at it, and touching it. I know what i should do though, is just to make a sampler book, a little of each with the date where and when it was bought, then use the rest, that way i will still have some of it,
ReplyDeleteFabric is the best thing to hoard! And this line is fabulous ;o)
ReplyDeleteWell that is the cutest Christmas fabric I ever saw...
ReplyDeleteI am a bit of a hoarder, can't bear to throws things out and I do keep things for best...whenever that will be who knows!
Use it and buy more...that would work!
Julia ♥
That is the best solution I've ever heard of!!!
ReplyDeleteOH My, lol... I thought I was the only horder LOL..I so agree that sometimes,,,some of the treasure you just have to savor before using or not...lol....
ReplyDeleteYES!!!!! I AM A FABRIC HOARDER!! And I too, hate to cut!! Will there ever be a cure for this??!!
ReplyDeleteE-Gads, it is a terrible illness, but it appears that I am in very good company!! :)
Haha!! my word verification is:
alber like en-abler perhaps???
I like your logic.
ReplyDeleteMy problem is usually not that I can't cut it, but that I can't decide on a project that will be wonderful enough to use the special fabric(s) in.
It not that i am a hoarder i just get fabric i like but never sure what to do with it to get the best out of it so it gets hoarded until i know lol
ReplyDeleteHugs Janice
I love your woman's logic!
ReplyDeleteI started working on a new Christmas quilt yesterday and I'm using fabric I've been 'hoarding' for two years. LOL I understand exactly how you feel.
ReplyDelete*LOL* buy more, great!!!
ReplyDeleteYou really are daft as a brush!!!!!
