I know…I know…you are probably sick and tired of seeing MORE pictures of my SP blocks…but that’s all I’ve got, so that’s all you get! I have been stitching like crazy…the faster my husband drives, the faster I stitch!! And there are some CRAZY freeways down here…!
I am now working on the right corner block and should finish that one by the end of our days’ drive! Which just leaves the centre bottom block …which I can’t do until the blocks are sewn together. This quilt is going incredibly fast!!
We are now in Santa Rosa…a beautiful little city north of San Francisco and will continue our trek up the coastline to home…next stop Eureka!
The wildflowers this time of year are spectacular!
Hey, do you watch American Idol?? I can’t believe the results from last night’s show!! What’s with Pia getting the heave ho..?! I’m in shock!
Have a FUN Friday and Happy Quilting!~P
I never tire of Settler's Pride. Fabulous scenery and colours.
ReplyDeleteThe stichery is fabulous and I always enjoy your travel pictures.
ReplyDeleteAmerican Idol WAS a surprise..that choice is hard to understand -- surely there must have been a counting error.
are you saying that Mr. Sweetpea drives fast??..I never tire of seeing your Settler's Pride blocks..keep on sewing...you have two more states to get through before you get back home!
ReplyDeleteI think I am going to have to finally break down and buy that pattern..I love it.
ReplyDeleteI love the Santa Rosa area...all the vineyards. My parents used to live in Clear Lake and my God mom still does...hoping to get down there this summer for vacation...enjoy the scenery.

Hubby must be driving like a mad man because you're stitching like a mad woman. LOL Beautiful block, P. Keep 'em coming. :-)
ReplyDeleteLooks fab, but I am amazed you can sew while hubby is driving down the road. I always get motion sickness when I try to do that...not to mention the needle pricks to my fingers...LOL!
ReplyDeleteI love your Settler's Pride quilt. and that you are having fun on your trip! Say high to Eureka for me. :-) (That's where I grew up) Have a great day!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful blocks! I can't believe you can sew in the car...wish I could!
ReplyDeleteLoved seeing the photo from around Santa Rosa...my sister lives in Petaluma and we've spent a lot of time in the area!
They're looking beautiful!
ReplyDeleteIs the background wool or flannel? I kept trying to remember to ask you. This is my Christmas gift. Right? LOL!
ReplyDeleteYour blocks are all so beautiful! This is going to be a lovely quilt! :0)
ReplyDeleteDon't you ever stop showing your blocks. You are an inspiration!
ReplyDeleteAre you going to stop at the Stichin' Post in Sisters, Oregon?
I love seeing your progress, it is so beautiful.
ReplyDeleteI think Pia is too good to bother with that show, she should get a good agent;)
Debbie
Your SP is going to be gorgeous when you're done! I love Santa Rosa, I haven't been there in years though, my mom used to live in a little town north of there called Healdsburg, right on the Russian River, before she moved to Oregon. I miss going up there.
ReplyDeleteI understand what you mean. I crochet and pray when my husband is driving the RV. I really do great work when I'm under pressure.

Oh, yes! More Settler's Pride. Give me more!!
ReplyDeleteNever tire of seeing the progress on this quilt. The colors are so soft. Looking great!
ReplyDeleteLOL! Sounds like me when we are down south on those LA freeways. As my DH drives with all of those maniacs I just keep telling myself "Just keep stitching, just keep stitching":) Love the block. Your quilt is going to be beautiful. Thanks for sharing the photo of the wildflowers!
ReplyDeleteHi Paulette!
ReplyDeleteLove that Settler's Pride, you are doing a wonderful job.
Having recently travelled from Austoria to San Francisco, take care on Hwy 1 from Fort Bragg to Legette. With your 5th wheel, there is a mountain to get over with very tight switch backs you may not be able to maneouver with the 5th wheel!
We had a Ford Fusion and my husband jokes that the corners were so tight, we could see the rear end of the car!
It reminded me of the most recent episodes of Ice Road Truckers, going up and down the Himalyain Mountains on the wrong side of the road!
If you can, think about some cross country, turning right at Westport to get to the 101 and then you can work your way back to the coast south of Eureka!
That is of course, unless you already came down from Leggett to Fort Bragg on Hwy 1! In that case, just tell me not to worry (or anything else you would like to say LOL)
Have a good day!
Take care, Leslie
That wool quilt is so pretty....love the soft colors.
ReplyDeleteIdol is insane this year! Do you realize they've only kicked off girls? The guy who looks like Kenny Loggins really needs to go.... weak voice!
ReplyDeleteI'm worried that you're going to finish your blocks before you finish your journey at this rate. It looks great, and so does the scenery.
ReplyDeleteIt's really beautiful!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous, gorgeous, what else can I say!!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous blocks...love the blues against the black.
ReplyDeleteLOVE LOVE that Settlers Pride! Stunning. ' nuff said.
