Thanks to all the Bloggers out there in blogland...you made my day yesterday! I had tons of mail confirming that yes, indeed, there are actually people out there reading this ( Just like in the movie Julia/Julie! Who knew....) A BIG thank you to my new BFFs, Marilyn and Anna, who told me about Material Obsession 2 AND that I can get Material Obsession #1 on Sale from Connecting Threads at 40% off! Yippee, so I ordered it, plus some batting and 20 fat quarters! Their prices are SO good!
Check it out! http://www.connectingthreads.com/Quilting.cfm
I have ordered from Connecting Threads several times before and they always have good prices, lovely fabric and delivery (for me) was in about 10 days. (]They send you emails letting you know where your parcel is.)
This is what the book Material Obsession 2 looks like. Can’t wait to get my hands on this one, too!
The August Challenge Up-date-I have almost finished my scalloped wall hanging/table cloth- I just need to hand-stitch the binding down on the back! Such a good feeling to finish it! AND I love it! It really is nicer ‘in real life’! It’s the scallops that make it sing.
Yahoo, another one bites the dust!
I really do like Connecting Threads - there thread is very nice quality and very reasonably priced - you get a neutral set of 8 spools ( 1100 yards) for around 16 dollars- I have never found it cheaper here in Canada. The batting is a good deal though you could order from sew sister in Toronto until August 21 ( I think) with free shipping (google sew sisters to find the link) They have very nice clearance fabrics too.
ReplyDeleteI am looking forward to seeing the second Material Obsession book as well.
You are speeding along with your quilting- I need to get going again- I seem to have lots my drive and am running out of time before school starts.
Your new quilt is really lovely...
Happy Quilting and Shopping,
Regards,
Anna
