Something to CROW About…

When my hubby announce that our fuel was getting low and that we were going to stop in Springfield, Oregon, my whooop of excitement could mean only ONE THING…a Quilt Shop was nearby….!

And what a quilt shop it was!!  It was ‘Something to Crow About’ for sure…yup, that’s the name of it!  Cute…eh?  Wait till you see the pictures…

It had just snowed in Springfield (just south of Eugene, OR) so the roads weren’t that great…in fact they declared it a SNOWDAY and school was out!  Anyway…I had 15 minutes to peruse the shop…which is usually plenty of time…P1250346

Love the huge quilt patch on the side of the building…that’s because the shop is tucked into a little courtyard and might be overlooked…

Yup…this shop is ‘Something to Crow About’ all right!!  The quilters who live around Eugene and Springfield are VERY lucky indeed!!

Day two down…sew it’s onwards…and upwards…as in Mountain Passes today…the Siskiyou Pass awaits!  So far the I-5 Freeway has been bare and dry…fingers crossed that it remains that way!

Hope you enjoyed the shop!!  It’s a good one to circle on your map and it was easy to find!!

Happy Shopping~P

  12. It's amazing what your camera sees and the naked eye misses. We go to Eugene once a month to hook so stop at STCA on the way home. I was surprised you didn't take pictures of the bolts of wool. Glad you enjoyed it.

  17. Paulette, I'm so glad you finally went to this shop. It is one of my favourites along the I-5 drive heading south.

One time I went there they had part of the quilt A Primitve
Garden by Lisa Bongean on display in the classroom as a BOM. I was tempted to buy it but decided to wait. On my return home the I stopped in on a Monday only to find them closed. I have the pattern and am gathering fabrics to start stitching it.

I can't believe you only spent fifteen minutes there and got so many great pictures. Can't wait to see your purchases.

Safe trip over the mountain passes.
