On Saturday morning Hubby asked if I was up for a trip to Temecula?Need I say more?…I tell you, I was ready and waiting at the door in FIVE minutes!! I had a gift card at Temecula Quilt Co. burning a hole in my pocket!!
Man, I love this shop!! AND you will too…have a look-see!!
The whole shop consists of little quilt vignettes…Check out the bathroom…YES…that was my first stop!! OK…so I like my morning coffee! These sweet quilts are hanging from rulers!! A VERY clever way to display small quilts without marring your walls!
And check out the RED and WHITE quilt…the one on the right was Temecula’s Blog FREE pattern…and YES, it’s still available for download!! Even nicer in real life, I might add!!
Let me pull it out for better display…bet you are downloading it as I type! ;O)
LOVED this quilt…STUNNING!! Wee little blocks…1/2 or 3/4” blocks…almost got out a ruler to check! Unfortunately (or maybe fortunately) they were out of patterns!! Can you imagine making this quilt?? Yikes!
Here’s a better look…I also loved the quilting on many of these quilts…a tight meander than a washing to give it that old soft look!!
Also loved this quilt…and YES, they had the pattern for this stunner and it came home with me!
So much eye candy in this shop! I didn’t even ask to take photos…the sales girl saw me taking a picture of the front of the shop and as I entered, told me to keep snapping…they were photo friendly! Music to my ears!
Everywhere you look you see gorgeous quilts!
One after the other…
Love this display of Valdani Pearl Cotton!! I bought a ball of each colour as I can’t find this thread back home!
I almost bought this pattern…but I’m sure the pattern is in a magazine that I own…or at least I’m hoping it’s the one I’m thinking of as this quilt was spectacular!!
It has the smallest applique…adorable!!
Lots of samplers through out the shop…
This one is similar to the one on the cover of the book ‘Amelia Quilts’…but smaller…loved it (and the pattern came home with me!) Oh…can you see the ruler boxes underneath…one of those also came home with me!! VERY sweet!
These pictures are for me…and for you!
Whew…do you need a nap after all this browsing?? Temecula Quilt Co. sells mostly Civil War Fabric, solids and a bit of wool…all things good!!
This is their classroom schedule…dang cute!
Lots of Lori Smith quilts throughout the shop…
I’ll will finish off with this sweet and simple quilt…very cute!
Yes, I had no problems cashing in that gift card!! I bought tons of Valdani, wool and you CANNOT escape this shop without buying a pattern or two or three!! It’s always fun spending someone else's’ money!
THANK YOU, HAYLEY AND RYAN!! I had fun…tons of FUN!!
YIKES!! Only two days to go till the big day!! Hope you’re ready!! I know I am! Today I am off to the Clubhouse to quilt…there’s no Quilting on Wednesday…would you believe it’s cancelled because of Christmas?! WHAT?! Bahhumbug! ;o)
Have a good one!~P
I am jealous!

It is a lovely little shop, I had fun there the last time I was in the area. Loved their wool corner, she has such lovely displays in her shop.
ReplyDeleteLori Smith has such lovely designs, I visited her booth in Houston and couldn't decide what to buy. I think I do have one of her patterns tucked away for a rainy day.
Thanks for the great trip - what great quilts! Have FUN - Merry Christmas to you and your husband!
ReplyDeleteLooks like a super fun trip. Please keep me posted when you come further South.
