The Road to California Mambo….

Our van pulls out from the Club House parking lot at 8:30 this morning…pointed West in the direction of the Road to California Quilt Show…picture us crammed into this van….singing Mambo Number 5…Quilter’s style!

image Ladies and gentlemen, this is Mambo No 5
One, two, three four, five
everybody in the car so come on let's ride
To the QUILT SHOW around the corner,
the girls say they want some thread and patterns
but I really don't wanna
waste my time on trivial mattas’like this

I must stay deep 'cause talk isn’t cheap
I’ve got  Judy, and Doris, Gwen and Alice, Penny, Marilyn and of course meeeeee.
and as we continue you know we’re gettin' weaker for..
a little bit of Moda in my life
a little bit of Whimsical by my side
a little bit of Hofmanns all I need
a little bit of Blackbird is what I see
a little bit of Kaffe in the sun
a little bit of French General all night long
a little bit of Buggy Barn here I am
a little bit of you makes me your wo-man
mambo number five!!!

jump up and down and move it all around
shake your head to the sound put your hands an the ground
take one step left and one step right
one to the front and one to the side
clap your hands once and clap your hands twice
and if it looks like this then you doin' it right

You’re lookin’ fine!!

So grab your needle and thread and do it all again!!

Have a FUN Friday and Happy quilting!!

Hit it one more time girls….a little bit of Moda….

  10. Okay, now WHY am I thinking it's NOT the quilts on show that you're going to see?! ROFLOL! You always crack me up--wish I could have been on the bus with you! (Except that YOU wouldn't want me--my singing's terrible! LOL!)

  16. Too funny!!! I'm imagining a video... quilters singing & dancing... you in the lead, wearing those new quilt pants... except I see you went the traditional route....... LOVE the header, Paula, it looks fantastic! Thanks for the humor... this will keep me grinning all day.
