…our trip that is!! The weather continues to be sunny and warm…I actually put on sandals and capris today before we headed down to the beach at the Pismo Coast Village RV Resort (a 3 hour drive from Marina). Gorgeous!! Have a peak at what I have to suffer through….
This is a shot of our RV Resort!! Just lovely! I would DEFINITELY come here again…only for longer!
Poor me! ;o)
After our walk I checked my list of quilt shops in the area and discovered that Quilt Cousins (located in Pismo Beach) is within walking distance of our RV Resort! EUREKA! So off I went…five minutes later I spot the sign…. Looking good….
A cute mat on the doorstep to welcome me to the shop….
NOOOOOOOOOOO………. Closed on Sunday AND MONDAY!!!
So I finally get a quilt shop that I can WALK to and it’s closed…. How’s that for luck!
It’s a good thing we are leaving on Wednesday. That way I can be here bright and early Tuesday morning!!
This is me with my nose up against the door window…can you read the Flamingo’s sign…It says LOTS OF NEW WOOL…. (Do you see that Claire? ) Oh…I’ll be back!
If they had been open (like they should have been) they wouldn’t have to clean off that greasy nose mark on their window!
On the Quilting Front~ Block Number 6 DONE! I’m half way there!!
And I had to end this post with a picture of Pismo Beach at about 5:30pm last night. Yes, retirement is grand! I guess everyone is back to school today…..heeee heee…. Whoops sorry! ;o)
Have a marvellous Monday and Happy Quilting!
Heee heee, indeed! I swear I can feel your joy with each post you write and I am very happy for your happiness, lol. Pismo Beach sunset says it all, an awesome end to a fabulous day. Where are we going next? :-)
ReplyDeleteYou are having such a grand time it makes me wish I was a tag along!
ReplyDeleteI am so sorry you have to subject yourself to lovely weather and the sounds of the ocean. I know it must be hard! I absolutely love checking in on your blog to see how things are going. Can't wait to see your finished quilting project. It looks beautiful! Safe RVing!
ReplyDeleteYou poor thing, all that sunshine and ocean air, when you could be here in the snow with beautiful 20 degree temps, haha.
ReplyDeleteDebbie
Curses! Nothing worse than a 'closed' sign when you're jonesing for some fabric fondling. The beach photos are stunning, keep them coming!
ReplyDeleteI went off to work today :( So you are not going to stay there, are you going farther south?
ReplyDeleteWell, since the shop was closed today, it gives you a whole evening to plan what you need/want. Love being in the sunshine with you, cause here in the South it has been really cold.
ReplyDeletePaulette I feel I am on holiday with you...your blocks are looking great.
ReplyDeleteYes, it is a shame you are having "such a time of it"--gee let me think; warm weather--mine is 20 and snow with more coming for Friday. You are driving down the warm coast with sandals and capris--me two layers, socks, shoes and looking for the fleece blanket! You are off to a quilt shop--me--OFF TO SCHOOL, yes back to work today, but we did have a two-hour delay due to icy driving conditions......oh yes you are in California...hmmmmmmmmmmm
ReplyDeleteFeeling sorry for me yet????? Have fun--I will think of you--fondly--really--lol!
Oh, I got so carried away that I forgot to tell you how much I love your wool applique and all of your pictures--they do make me feel better!
ReplyDeleteYou are killing me with these wonderful pictures of the sun and surf. Okay, so there would have been two nose marks on the window there. Mine would have been pressed right next to yours!! And like you I would be there bright and early Tuesday! Go girl and don't forget the camera.
ReplyDeleteGosh, I'm so sorry you're having such a bad time here in California! LOL!
ReplyDeleteI'm so sorry that you're suffering so much on this journey!! Perhaps I should volunteer to take your place for the rest of it?
ReplyDeleteHi there.....have been lurking in on your blog for a couple of weeks before Christmas.....love all of it and have been so inspired by all the wool work....that I am working on my first project now.....so a BIG thank you for getting me into this ! Your trip sounds like a bit of heaven right now....we have the minus 20 to 30 windchill temps range at the present time and not going away....I think I need to replan how we spend our winters ..... but then again it would mean not seeing the grandbabies !!
ReplyDeleteCheck out Bunny Hill.....new block of the month...and it's called "Snowbound".......can u guess what the first block is centered around ?
Heather
Oh you poor thing having to suffer through this trip. *G* It's just jaw-dropping lovely, Paulette, especially when I'm feeling a frigid 10 degree draft coming from my old window. HAVE FUN!
ReplyDeleteI just happen to see your blog, and did a double take think I reconize that place so I read the blog and guess what I live here in Central Coast. Those are wonderful pictures. It is like this everyday. It's is the best place on earth.
