I’m Speechless…

Last night I received an email from my daughter, with the caption “Look at what I have been working on this weekend.”   When I opened the picture I almost FELL OFF MY CHAIR!

photo-001

THOSE pieces of fabric sure LOOK like half square triangles!  WHAT? She OWNS a rotary cutter???  And a cutting mat?  My gawd…me thinks a… quilter is born!!  I’m speechless…

Excuse me…this is a VERY proud moment for this mama…(sniff sniff)…I may need a moment to compose myself!

Have a MAGICAL Monday and Happy Quilting!~P

  4. ROFL! You just channeled...Me! Or at least the totally shocked me who, too, would be falling off her chair and asking "Who ARE you and what have you done with my daughter?!?!?!?!"

  10. Half-square triangles, wow. Now you'll be able to pass on all your quilt knowledge and tips. Maybe even fabric. Wish my daughters were interested. They love the quilts, but don't want to make them when they have me around.

  12. Good thing you were sitting down. I was happy just to get my son to WANT to go to JoAnn's today - of course he wanted perler beads, and when I strayed off the path he said "lets not forget what our objective is here, today"

  13. Paulette, I had a similar moment with my daughter a few years back. I wonder if our children realize what joy they give us when they finally try what we have been doing and wanting them to do with us. That said, one of my sons is a very good quilter. He even made a foundation pieced mini to see what I go though to produce one! Enjoy the moment and look forward to more!

  18. You have a budding quilter and I bought MY daughter a package of straight pins because I used her LAST THREE to pin up the hem on granddaughter #2's pants to mark them for hemming. Needless to say she hasn't inherited my love of sewing and crafting.

  22. Wow, another thing that is passed down through families. They should be able to identify the quilting gene when they finally finish mapping the human genome. I wonder what color it is, and what shape?

  23. Oh woww, how fantastic. Can't wait to see what they're going to become!

  24. LOL and your quilting ESP didn't pick up the scent of a new quilter to play with! Must be all the extra miles that threw you off! Agh what are you going to do now, one less recipient for quilts but one more convert to go shopping with and more to the point will want to raid your stash and borrow your patterns! Only a bonus for us as we look forward to seeing what DD the Quilter is making!
