Getting There…

I’ve been busy…I have eight blocks of the Autumn Quilt all prepped and ready for stitching…

Block Four~

Block Five~

P1150738

Block Six~ P1150739

Block Seven~P1150740-1  And Block Eight~

P1150743

Four more blocks to go!  Then I will have to figure out how to pack/store them for travel.

I’d like to know~ why is it that, no matter how hard I clean my house I always find bits and piece of wool all over the place…what’s with that?  Occupational hazard?

Hey it’s Friday AGAIN!!  Is it just ME or are the weeks just flying by?  Christmas will be here before we know it…did you know that it’s Thanksgiving weekend for all Canadians…YIKES!!  (light bulb moment!) I have to THAW the turkey!!  Forgot to take it out of the freezer yesterday…must run!  I think our guests would like a COOKED turkey!!

Have a Fun Friday and Happy Quilting!~P

  3. Those blocks are so pretty! I want to make a wool quilt someday, but I must use up a bunch of the cotton I have before I do that! LOL

  4. Fantastic Paulette!! How about a large size pizza box for storage? I have a couple from a quilt store and they work great!

I like Lori's idea to use a pizza box for storage.

  6. I had no idea it was Thanksgiving weekend in Canada. That's so much smarter than having it a month before Christmas! Our holiday season is a whirlwind of activity during November and December! The quilt is really going to be nice!

  10. The colors in the blocks look good so they must be fantastic in real life.

I think Canada and the USA should co-ordinate Thanksgiving. I don't have a good reason for that. It just seems too early right now I guess. But if you invite me for dinner, I will invite you in November. Well, I guess that would be an expensive trip just for a turkey dinner.

  11. Love the pieces, great appliques to work on. I usually use the plastic boxes to store things like that, they have the thinner ones that you can lay them in, with enough room for the threads and needles.

  12. Happy Turkey Weekend!

Your blocks are looking great. Do you have any large zip lock bags? You could put a couple into each back, or make a "book" out of some flannel and roll them up to save space.

My friend is also doing the blocks and having fun with them.

  21. Happy Thanksgiving! I didn't know Canadians ate Turkey for it also. I'd store the ready to stitch blocks in one of those Art Bin totes or a Pizza Box. You can buy them cheap and unused at the pizza place.
