I’ve been busy…I have eight blocks of the Autumn Quilt all prepped and ready for stitching…
Block One~ (please keep in mind that the colours in REAL life are much better….:o)
Block Two~
Block Three~
Block Four~
Block Five~
Four more blocks to go! Then I will have to figure out how to pack/store them for travel.
I’d like to know~ why is it that, no matter how hard I clean my house I always find bits and piece of wool all over the place…what’s with that? Occupational hazard?
Hey it’s Friday AGAIN!! Is it just ME or are the weeks just flying by? Christmas will be here before we know it…did you know that it’s Thanksgiving weekend for all Canadians…YIKES!! (light bulb moment!) I have to THAW the turkey!! Forgot to take it out of the freezer yesterday…must run! I think our guests would like a COOKED turkey!!
Have a Fun Friday and Happy Quilting!~P
Happy Thanksgiving! Wish I were there to have some turkey and all of the trimmings. :) I love those blocks you have prepped---they just should Autumn. :)
ReplyDeleteI meant to ask what pattern you are using?
ReplyDeleteThose blocks are so pretty! I want to make a wool quilt someday, but I must use up a bunch of the cotton I have before I do that! LOL
ReplyDeleteFantastic Paulette!! How about a large size pizza box for storage? I have a couple from a quilt store and they work great!
ReplyDeleteOh my you've been a busy woman!!! These blocks are fabulous!
ReplyDeleteI like Lori's idea to use a pizza box for storage.
I had no idea it was Thanksgiving weekend in Canada. That's so much smarter than having it a month before Christmas! Our holiday season is a whirlwind of activity during November and December! The quilt is really going to be nice!
ReplyDeleteI so enjoyed seeing all your prepped blocks-do you work night and day?lol!
ReplyDeleteBest be careful or I can see you having it finished before you go:)
Lovely work and love all your chices of wools and backgrounds.

Another gorgeous wool quilt, Paulette. I bet you'll have it finished before you arrive in California.lol
ReplyDeleteHappy Thanksgiving. Have a great weekend with your family. Luckily, I remembered to take the bird out of the freezer because, my people too, like a cooked turkey.
You have been busy! These are looking great!
ReplyDeleteHappy Thanksgiving
The colors in the blocks look good so they must be fantastic in real life.
ReplyDeleteI think Canada and the USA should co-ordinate Thanksgiving. I don't have a good reason for that. It just seems too early right now I guess. But if you invite me for dinner, I will invite you in November. Well, I guess that would be an expensive trip just for a turkey dinner.
Love the pieces, great appliques to work on. I usually use the plastic boxes to store things like that, they have the thinner ones that you can lay them in, with enough room for the threads and needles.

Happy Turkey Weekend!
ReplyDeleteYour blocks are looking great. Do you have any large zip lock bags? You could put a couple into each back, or make a "book" out of some flannel and roll them up to save space.
My friend is also doing the blocks and having fun with them.

ReplyDeleteYour project looks wonderful! Can't wait to see the rest of the blocks. Have a wonderful Thanksgiving!
ReplyDeleteLove your blocks. The colors are beautiful. I know what you mean about scraps. Can't wait to see the quilt put together.
ReplyDeleteJust love all the pumpkins.... is the background fabric wool or cotton?? Have a great turkey dinner.
ReplyDeleteThose blocks are gourgeous!!!! I can't wait till the quilt is finished. Happy Thanksgiving!...and I agree...time is flying!
ReplyDeleteIs this a BOM? Or were you able to buy the pattern and did you make up your own blocks?
ReplyDeleteHappy Turkey Day!
What a beutiful project you have created! Will look forward to seeing the rest of the blocks and the full quilt...enjoy your turkey!
ReplyDeleteI <3 those blocks!
ReplyDeleteHappy Thanksgiving to you and your family!
Happy Thanksgiving! I didn't know Canadians ate Turkey for it also. I'd store the ready to stitch blocks in one of those Art Bin totes or a Pizza Box. You can buy them cheap and unused at the pizza place.
ReplyDeleteThe blocks are beautiful. I love the Fall season and I can just picture the end result. I also use pizza boxes. Good Luck with your turkey and Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family - My job for this Thanksgiving is making pumpkin pies.
ReplyDeleteGreat wool blocks! Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours.
ReplyDeleteWow, you are sure coming along on the Autumn Quilt. I can't wait until I start mine, but it won't be until after the holidays; still trying to get some Christmas gifts made. Happy Thanksgiving to all of our Canadian friends! Blessings!
ReplyDeleteYou are on a real roll Paulette...the blocks look fantastic..
ReplyDeletehappy turkey weekend to you and yours..cold water bath will thaw that baby in no time flat!!!
ReplyDeleteLove the blocks- you did such a great job on those! Thanksgiving already? :) Sounds good! I agree, time is flying by! Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteNice blocks, do you glue them? I don't see any applique pins in them.
ReplyDeleteYour Autumn Quilt is going to be gorgeous Paulette! I saw the last three blocks you have prepped too. It must take a long time to get all of that finished. Beautiful work.
