I’m in LOVE…with my current project…the Tumbler Quilt using Civil War fabric and shirting! So scrappy yet not…
You might remember that I borrowed my friend, Kathie’s GO! tumbler die to cut out these blocks. Only problem…I didn’t cut out enough tumblers…SEW you know what THAT MEANS!! I need my own Tumbler Die!
Right now this little quilt is only about 44”X46” big…and I want a big cozy quilt that I can wrap myself in. This is going to be a couch quilt..
Yup, I definitely need my own tumbler because there seems to be a love affair brewing….
Have a terrific Tuesday and Happy Quilting!~P
better get tumbling..or on line and order yourself one!!!
ReplyDeleteSounds like a very good reason to me to buy it!
ReplyDeletelove your quilt P. Let me know when you get tumbler die.
ReplyDeleteI really love the tumblers with that fabric, think they look best with prim fabrics. I was thinking that homespuns would be nice to use.

I am in love! But when I went to JoAnns to check out the GO they were sold out...on sale for $249??? is that good? They had some babies but I am thinking...I need the full meal deal!
ReplyDeleteThe tumbler is something I have wanted to make. I love the "old fashioned" look it gives in scrappy colors. You will enjoy it for a very long time!
ReplyDeleteOrder it from Amazon - where it's currently $24.23 for the 3.5" or $22.19 for the larger size, eligible for free super saver shipping and tax free! PS the Go Cutter is $199.99 (no super saver shipping on that one, though) and the Go! Baby is $69.33, with free super saver shipping!

ReplyDeleteOh I love your tumbler quilt...it looks so old! AWESOME!
ReplyDeleteOf course you need a tumbler and a half square and hexis and strips and...well whatever you want ;)
ReplyDeleteDid you use the big tumbler or the smaller one? I love the quilt and now need to add that to my future projects list11
ReplyDeleteThis is one fabulous quilt! Did you use the 3.5" or the 6.5" tumbler?
ReplyDeleteI love your tumbler quilt. Aren't scrappy quilts just the best.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful quilt! Really like the colors. :)
ReplyDeleteGod bless and keep you,
Sonia
You can borrow it any time you want P.
ReplyDeleteThe colours in this are wonderful - really rich and cosy somehow.
ReplyDeleteI love this quilt. I bought the big tumbler die and haven't used it yet but I guess I'm going to have to pull it out and start. Your quilt is lovely and I'm just so wanting it...I guess I better get busy and make one and quit coveting yours! I have some left over CW fabric and now that I see how beautiful yours is, I'm just going to pull it out and start cranking. Thanks for the inspiration!
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh! It is gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteOk, I see myself doing this, but not the apple cores. Beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI bought this tumbler die, and will have to borrow the GO cutter, backwards from you, lol. I want to do the same thing with my shirtings. Same vision, Paulette!
