Feast your eyes on these little packages…are they not the sweetest , most adorable little baskets…
If you hurry over to ABC you can catch Brandie’s tutorial on how to make this lovely quilt!! Brandie used two charm packs of Collection For a Cause- Faith to make this quilt…Just LOOK AT IT!! I love the pinks and reds and browns…and look at her quilting…scallops in the beige background fabric! Love the whole TOTAL PACKAGE!
I quickly rummage around in my pre-cut bin and low and behold…guess what I found…YUP, two packages of Collection For a Cause- Faith!! It was meant to be…they have been there for awhile…waiting…!! (I am SUCH a copy cat…but I don’t care…I LOVE this quilt!!)
So guess what I did yesterday…? :o) I cut the fabric into little triangles and strips…all ready for stitching…. Hurry over to ABC and check out Brandie’s tutorial…next lesson is on Tuesday!! Be there or be square!

I had almost given up hope of it EVER arriving! What was inside you ask…?
This book, “Pick Four~ Easy Fabric Choices for Great Quilts” and it was sent to me compliments of Sue Abrey….
…BUT we know her as Quilt Sue (from Quilt Time Blog)!! Here’s proof…right here on the back page!! Sure LOOKS like Quilt Sue!! Yes, our very own Quilt Sue has written a book and got herself FAMOUS!! Not only is our Sue a wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, quilter, blogster but now she can add AUTHOR to that list!!
Quilt Sue, we are SEW PROUD OF YOU!!
Quilt Sue is going to be having a Blog Hop to promote her new book later this month…and I am honoured to be one of the blogs that you will be hopping to!! So now it’s my turn to hop to it and prepare for the masses…order the balloons and confetti…call the caterers…contact the band..see if Michael Buble will be in town…Oh…we are going to have fun!
So good things really do come in small packages……with the except of my middle daughter, Maggie..born 29 years ago today at a whopping 10 lbs!! Yowzers! Some REALLY GREAT packages do come a little lot bigger than others!! Have a wonderful birthday, Mags!!xo

ReplyDeleteJust checked out the tutorial at ABC for the basket quilt and Brandie sure makes it look easy. The quilt is so sweet and luckily for me, I have two charm packs of Strawberry Fields waiting patiently for just the right project. Congrats to you for being chosen for Sue's blog hop. I'll be looking forward to it.
