The Big, Bad, Blue Monster…

So I set up my $5 Garage Sale PVC Quilt Table in the Family Room…right in front of the TV!P1140913

It works great…keeps the quilt taut but not too tight for hand quilting.

P1140911

As you can see I’m not doing the traditional small stitch hand quilting but rather have opted for big stitches using perle cotton to make the blocks pop!    P1140916

I LOVE the look of the big stitches…

P1140915

There is ONLY one thing wrong with this quilting table.  Our dog Rylie doesn’t like it…in fact she won’t come to bed when it’s in the family room!!  She sits on the couch all night guarding it…

So now every night we go through the ritual of dragging the Big, Bad, Blue Monster into the exercise room…and close the door…tight …so that Rylie can get a good nights sleep!!  Dogs do the darnedest things!

P1140917    And hey…who wants to exercise anyway?  Not me!!  :o)

Have a FUN Friday and Happy Quilting!~P

  3. Your stitching is wonderful! And how funny about Riley. My dog Ozzie went crazy yesterday when I was trying to swat a fly with the fly swatter. I think he thought I had lost my mind whacking away with that thing!

  6. Daisy flowers are my very favorite flower and I love the big stitches. Maybe I could actually quilt using big stitches (except for the evenness!)

  11. I love the way you're quilting this beauty.

Cooper has to guard anything that is out of place. They are silly creatures of habit. LOL

  12. Dogs or pets in general due the strangest things at times. In summer when we have the Insect Zapper on our dog won't walk or sleep anywhere near it. It hangs from the ceiling but see eyes it as coming from outer space.

Your quilt is beautiful, I think that is the nicest blue quilt I have seen! So fresh and cool, love it!!

  14. Your quilt looks gorgeous - all summery and fresh. Oh, and it only seems to have 3 fabrics in it!

That's so funny about the dog - they do get the strangest ideas in their heads don't they?
