I’ve Lost IT!

Ever wonder if you are loosing it??  I do…ALL the time and yesterday was no exception!

I decided to organize my scrapes…(inspired by Bonnie Hunter and all the quilters out there making those sweet little bow tie blocks…SEW cute!!)  I have Tupperware tubs stacked up in the closet to my sewing room…labeled with colours and project scraps..not very efficient to say the least!  I throw the scraps in and quickly put the lid on!!  Who knows what’s lurking inside those tubs??  NOT ME!!!

As I pulled the tubs out, lodged up against the far wall was a bright yellow bag…???  Hmm…??  What’s this?

Inside was this…

Memories of the FIRST Road to California Quilt Show trip flashed before me!!  YIKES!!  That will be FOUR YEARS ago this January!!  As you can see I haven’t touched it since!

Have you ever watched any demo where the demonstrator makes the gadgets look SO easy, SO much FUN, with results that are PERFECT? SEW perfect that you can’t possible live without it?   Well you are looking at such a gadget…

P1140889

I am SEW glad it comes with a CD because for the life of me I cannot remember what all these gadgets DO??

BUT…anything that COMES with a CD can’t be good…can it?

All I can say is~ it’s a good thing I don’t watch the Infomercial Channel!!  Enough said!!…are they coming with the straight jackets yet?

Have a Super Sunday and Happy Quilting!~P

  1. I call bags like that Christmas bags, because it is like unwrapping a gift, you haven't a clue as to what is inside. I hope you enjoy playing with your new toy. It is new, since it isn't opened yet too!

  2. OMGosh - if I found that in my closet, I would quickly put the top back on and close the door! It's probably an amazing product but all those parts and things scare me!!! I'm fairly basic with my tools.

However, I'm also curious and hope you post what it is that you DO with them all. 8-))

  3. I can't say I know what that tool does and am curious to see what it does. Looks like an awful lot of parts. Please show us what really cool job it makes easier.

  4. I have no doubt that you're just the quilter to figure it out. We're all very curious as to what it does!!!

  8. I too read Bonnie's email and was intriqued by it. Think the bow tie quilt is a super idea. What a great site she has. I only have one container of scraps but I pulled it out and made of pile -not very big but it is a pile -lol. Today she posted about a 7 year old quilt using tiny pieces!!! loved it too.

  10. Lucky you....a new toy. Can't wait to see what "it" does. Remember the silly song..."They're coming to take me away, away, they're coming to take me away!"

  15. I once bought an ironing board cover that way supposedly the best thing since sliced bread...of course no fabric would stay on it...everytime you tried to iron the fabric would go flying! At the quilt show it looked awesome! so between myself and a few other fabric stalkers...the land fill is a little fuller! LOL
