Just Hangin’ Around…

When you find quilts hanging around in the backyard it can only mean one thing…IT’S FINISHED!!

Yes, the birthday quilt is done..and with two whole days to spare! P1140568  I think the Dresden block has become one of my favourites…it’s very fun to make…and it makes you happy to look at! P1140571

I need some help from my quilt holder…we all have one!  :o)

A closer look…notice the scrappy dotted black fabric..I used three different dotted black and white fabric…and it works!  Love it!

Don’t you just love the summer months?

I am off to a High School Reunion Luncheon today…girls only!  About three years ago we had our BIG High School Reunion and it was there that the girls decided we would make it an annual event.  We have been meeting for a summer luncheon ever since…and what fun it is!!  It’s wonderful to see them all each year…get caught up, visit, count grand kids…(I’m still at ZERO last time I counted…but I do have an awfully cute Grand Dog…:-)  ++++++++++++++++++++++++++

    Because of you I purchased a miniature dresden plate template...I LOVE you quilt! and the label is so cute!

    Here is Bend I am one of the few who has successfully grown roses and today I have one bloom ready to open...it is taking longer than usual to bloom.

    Off to Sisters for a lecture! yipppeee

    That's one of the prettiest Dresden's I have ever seen...love your color choices and such a cute label. Beautfiul flowers and oh yes they smell so good :-)! Hope your luncheon was wonderful.

    This quilt is one of the most beautiful quilts I've seen on blog land! Honestly, it's fabulous Paulette! The dark colour with the dots is perfect.
    Oh the garden was the perfect background too. I am like you, loving the summer season which for some of us is so short. The quilt will be cherished for ever!

    Love your dresden plate quilt. The dark background really makes it pop. It actually looks very much at home resting on the bench outside.
