The Travelling Quilter…

On Wednesday Kim was working on this at the Clubhouse….

P1110330Well my husband and I went over to Kim and her husband’s for dessert and coffee last night and look what was finished and hanging around her 5th wheel!!   Isn’t it sweet…love the little splashes of green here and there…

This is Kim’s Valentine quilt…I don’t think her hubby will be forgetting the candy and flowers this year!!  Do you?

Ohhhh…and I have to show you what Kim has just finished stitching….

It’s the Partridge in a Pear Tree banner from Anni Downs’ “A Christmas Story”.

She made the blocks bigger before stitching them up…

I would love to show you them ALL but it would take days to post…(I have noticed a huge difference posting blogs on Wifi compared to at home on my PC…so much slower! )

Anyways, Kim’s plan is to stitch them up into a quilt rather than a banner.  It’s going to be VERY cute…hope she sends me a picture of the completed project so that we can all see.  OR better yet, I think Kim should start her own QUILTING Blog…huh, huh…??  It would be fun to follow a Full Time RVer and see her travels and Quilts…

This morning Kim and her husband, Don are packing up and moving on to Quartzsite, ARIZONA where they hope to have solar panels put on the roof of their 5th wheel.  This is so Kim can run her sewing machine when they are boon docking way out in the desert/woods.. away from a power source!!  Isn’t that sweet of her husband?  I’m sure it has nothing to do with running electricity to power up the TV for all those football games…

I am going to miss Kim…but maybe, just maybe they will be back…fingers crossed!!

Only 4 more SLEEPS until the Road to California Quilt Show!! Open-mouthed smile

Have a marvellous Monday and Happy Quilting~P

Kim is very talented and that is such a good idea about the solar panels- not that I need them, I don't even own an RV but I'm just sayin'!:) I too enjoyed your fleeting moment in the Wool Shop!!:) You crack me up Paulette- I think you would make an excellent book author -have you ever thought about it?:) I'm loving all the pics and have to say I'm really enjoying my trip with you!!:) Keep on having FUN!!

  6. Kim did a fine job. And think of sewing with solar energy in the desert! - The reason I have not commented lately is that I fainted of hyperventilation after the two posts showing where you get to shop ...

  8. Adorable quilt. It's so happy!
Quartzite eh?? That place is a trip. I'll never forget the first time Ken and I went through there. It blew our socks off. Thousands and thousands of RV'ers out in the middle of the desert....and all those flea market stalls. Have you ever been?
