to California boasted to be ‘the Best in the West’ and man, what an understatement! Is it me, or does it get better and better with age?!
Picture row, after row, after row, after row, of vendors and quilts, glorious, spectacular quilts…doesn’t get any better than this except maybe if you brought bags and bags of money! Which I of course didn’t! Dang! But all in all our little van load of quilters managed to do alright in the purchasing department! The Quilting economy of California is alive and doing VERY well!! Here’s our merry group on our way OUT!!
Just like last year I could only take pictures of booths if I had the owner’s permission….
The entrance…we arrived EARLY so there was a light crowd at first…soon to change into traffic jams!!
The entrance down another row…
I bought stuff from Primitive Gather…lots of stuff…so I had their permission to take a few pictures…
Here’s Lisa…you might know her from her blog…Primitive Gatherings!
My friend Eleanor, just as nice and friendly as ever!
The Quilter’s Coop booth…the owner was there and she was also friendly and nice…hence the pictures!
Entrance to the other side! I LOVED the basket quilt (third quilt down)…but it was a BOM…and I don’t know why as it was the same block through out the quilt with a bit of applique on the corners. LOVED IT!!!
Another favourite was the Wooden Spool…
..such nice owners and lovely wool and patterns!!
Yikes…that’s it for today…we are off to breakfast this morning with another RVing couple…must get ready!
Have a super Saturday and Happy Quilting!!
Such wonderful booths and things to buy, I know I would break the bank if I went in there, lol.

ReplyDeleteThanks for posting Paulette. Debbie from Wooden Spools is such a great person. She has A LOT of stuff at Holly Hill Quilt Shop and she does a monthly "Wooley Wednesday" Club..I have only been once but it was a lot of fun. I am loving the snowman head wall hanging in Lisa Bongeans booth..I think I will need to go to her website and see if I can purchase this pattern...Love it!

Wonderful! One of my daughters took me to Padukah one year. It was great fun. My feet hurt but it was so worth it.
ReplyDeleteGlad you had fun - I could do some damage there, lol!
ReplyDeleteLooks like one would need a whole week to do the Road to California justice! Such fun! Did you get some great deals at all?
ReplyDeleteJudging by the photo of your group, you single-handedly did your best to keep the quilting industry going! Sounds like you had a good day, can't wait to see and hear more about it.
ReplyDeleteYou lucky girls!
ReplyDeleteThis looks like sooooo much fun!
ReplyDeleteYou and your friends must have had a good time! I think you'll like that little template for the thimble quilts. I have that same one and have made several little quilts with it!
