Shop Hop continues…

Well the Quilt Shop Hop continues…Elaine from The Faithful Quilter  and Kim from Kim’s Big Quilting Adventure both emailed and said that I would probably like the Quilter’s Cupboard in Atascadero.  Well they were wrong…I LOVED the Quilter’s Cupboard in Atascadero!!  OMGosh…the quilts in this shop…the fabric!  Gorgeous!

This is what you see when you enter the shop…see how it goes WAAAAYYY back…well there were quilts and displays everywhere!!

I don’t know if this lady owns the shop but she was VERY nice and very welcoming!

Be still my heart!

I loved this quilt so much that I HAD to buy the pattern!

See what I mean about gorgeous quilts hanging everywhere….P1110238

…even down this long narrow hallway…

So if you should EVER find yourself in or near Atascadero (which is just a short drive from Pismo Beach) you have GOT to stop in!!

This ends the Pismo Beach Shop Hop…what fun I had!!  I can’t believe that so many gorgeous shops are in such close proximity to each other.  The quilters who live here are EXTREMELY fortunate!!

After our Shop Hop we walked the dogs to the pier and look who was there to greet us!!  Isn’t he magnificent! image

I have never seen a pelican up close like this and in the wild…and he had no concerns or worries about the humans who were just a couple of feet away!

In fact he looked down right bored!

What a great way to end our sun filled days at Pismo Beach!

Today we are off to Desert Hot Springs!

Have a thrilling Thursday and Happy Quilting!~P

  3. We need to get together so Michael can learn some training pointers from Rick about being a patient husband at quilt shops! Seriously Michael doesn't do too badly either but I don't think he is as willing as Rick is to take me to quilt shops. Safe travels to Desert Hot Springs.

  10. I can feel my heart actually starting to race when I open your blog. What will I see today? MY only regret it that I can't actually touch the fabric, oh how I yearn to do that. And the Pelican-what a life!

  14. Great looking quilt shop! I hope you left some stuff for the other quilters. Those pelican photos are awesome. If you were in to art quilting, there's lots of texture in their feathers. They would make a beautiful art quilt with some thread work/play.
