A Romp at Pismo Beach…

Could that glimmer of light on the horizon be a little bit of sunlight waiting for us at Pismo Beach?

image

I forgot how gorgeous Pismo Beach is!!  And YES patches of blue skies were waiting for us!!image

See the pier in the background…that pier is on OUR beach!!  It’s the one that you see in so many movies…like…well I can’t remember what movies…BUT that pier REALLY does look familiar and I’m sure it’s been in a lot of movies…and if it hasn’t it really SHOULD be!  It would be perfect for a shoot out, a lover’s rendezvous or a drug bust gone bad!  Yeah, I know…I watch too much TV!

The ‘girls’ clearly enjoyed their romp yesterday…

It looks like I will be doing some romping of my own…I have my list of Quilt Shops all keyed into Gidget the Gizmo (GPS) and we are off!  Mr. Sweet P wants to check out some sea lions…which is only fair, don’t you think?  Some sea lions for him and FIVE Quilt Shops for me! hee hee… Fair is fair!

Have a marvellous Monday and happy quilting!~P

  5. I think we think the same. I've usually got a list of quilt shops too........Mr. Sweet P and the quiltnking could be brothers... I've been told 'the mold was broken' when the quiltnking was born.....he is sEw supportive of my hobbies.....he even scouts out the quilt shops for me.....gotta love'm. You will love the US quilt shops, the selection of fabrics and the price can blow you away...I'm going to go into quilt shock when I move back to Ontario:(

  6. Are you going up to Hearst Castle to see the Elephant Seals or did you pass them on your way down to Pismo?

They are quite interesting...they come every year at this time through March to have their babies on the beach up from the Castle. If you have never seen them before, worth a trip there...they look like pre-historic animals!

    Safe travels,

    Hugs,

    Elaine in SLO, Ca

  7. If you have the time, PLEASE take a drive up to Atascadero and visit " Quilter's Cupboard" quilt shop. My personal favorite ...they carry the most reproduction fabric in the area as well as Kaffe Fassett et al.

    Well worth the drive!

    Hugs,

  13. After reading your post heading I imagined you and Mr Sweet P romping around Pismo beach with your hair blowing in the wind, like in so many movies, with the pier in the background. But I got the pier with no rompers and just the dogs on the beach! Still, very pretty. Enjoy the shops and hope the sea lions come to the party.
