Isn’t she lovely…?

Since making the Dresden Blocks with Lady GO!GO!’s help last week, I have become Dresden crazy… I want to make MORE!  I grabbed my bin of old mens’ shirts… I cut off about 6” of one cuff of each shirt and ran the fabric through the GO!…

And…Presto…

P1100087

A Dresden plate..fit for the office or dinner out…

P1100088

“Isn’t she lovely…?  Isn't she wonderful?  Isn't she precious?  Less than one minute old…” oh heck where is Steve Wonder when you need him?

P1100089

I found this blue background fabric at the Quilting Shop…and it LOOKS like shirting fabric…

P1100090

Perfect…now I need to make a bunch more…with Lady GO!GO!s help, of course!

P1100091

And with Claire’s help, we auditioned fabric for these little lovelies…

P1100092

We BOTH stopped looking when we came to this black fine dot fabric…just made the other fabrics pop and start singing….

P1100094 Hit it Stevie!!  “Isn’t she lovely…isn’t she wonderful…”

Have a Super Sunday and Happy Quilting!!~P

Oh yeah, baby! I love it that you ran shirtsleeves through your GO! I have a pile of men's shirts in the corner of my sewing room, waiting for an interesting project to come along....

Both are very pretty Paulette!
I like how you re-used the shirtings!
The background will make all the shirtings stand out!

Great post and beautiful block. But I'm wondering if you might be able to help janet C.on Fb as she is questioning this die, with respect to the number of fans in the block. I think you may also have a few more than the documented plan by AQ. Inquiring minds want to know.

The men's shirts look great on a dresden plate, I must check my stash for stripey ones and try this. I understand the machine makes cutting faster, but you must have been really busy with the sewing.

I have "GO" envy! Love the men's shirts too. Wonder how ties would look?
