A Snowman in the Desert…?

Just a quickie this morning as I am off to Quilting in the Clubhouse and I slept in!!

I thought I would share my latest WCQ block with you…my snowman!  There is nothing like whipping up a snowman on a hot day!!

Because of the batting underneath, my snowman is nicely  rounded…I’m so happy with the way the batting makes the shapes take on a whole new dimension.  Unfortunately the camera doesn’t pick this up very well!

P1060598 P1060600      I love the snowflakes which I stitched with white wool…stuff that I had bought in a Thrift shop.  P1060606  P1060608 P1060609

Even Molly loves the snowman!

Have a wonderful Wednesday and Happy Quilting…yikes I have got to run!

  1. Your stitching is really wonderful. I need to find a better book or watch the online videos for fancy stitches.

  17. Like the snowman! I'm very surprised that he hasn't melted yet in the heat- shame if you get up one morning and find a soggy corner on your wool quilt and you have to stop and think 'whatever happened here?' and then after much humming and hawing and scratching your head you finally remember 'oh I do b'lieve that's where my snowman was!'
That'll larn ye to stitch snowmens in the heat!!!

  20. I love crazy quilts and this looks wonderful. I've made a doll size one just using cotton fabrics but one day I'll make a larger one.
