Now that our Fall weather is finally here, quilters are starting to come out in full force. It just takes a little bit of rain to get Heritage Quilt Guild hopping!
There was a group of quilters getting this beauty ready for quilting…
Here’s a closer look!
This bright and bold batik quilt top was getting folded and was going home with Hazel to get quilted!
I think this one was a community quilt…
Sweet little puppies were inside the blocks to this adorable baby quilt!
Love the corner stones on this one! They just popped the blocks!
Glynis just finished hand embroidering this adorable Red Brolly stitchery…which you can find HERE! SEW sweet…and SEW FREE!
This batik beauty was hot off Hazel’s long arm!!
Stunning!! I’m not sure whose quilt this was (sorry!!) BUT regardless, she did a magnificent job with the piecing and putting together the colours! It was a show stopper!
And look at the quilting! Hazel out did herself!
Tracy put the last stitch into her Halloween ornaments! She spray painted a small tree branch black and has these hanging as part of her Halloween display! They are all hand stitched…cross stitched onto paper and are so small and intricate…amazing detail!
On many of these works of art, there are wee beads sewn into the stitches…
These will be hung on her Christmas mantle…
Gorgeous!
And these go on a special Christmas Tree! Simply AMAZING!!
And that’s not all that Tracy has been up to! Check out the quilt that she made for her sister…
Tracy made this from two panels. She framed each block with red and then did the silver/grey sashing…STUNNING!! Even the back is a work of art! Sis is going to FLIP!!
OK…on with the show! I love a neutral quilt and this one is no exception! Lovely!
Sharon’s valentine quilt is hot off the quilting frame!
Look at the paisley hearts that Hazel quilted onto this beauty! Sharon was thrilled…as she should be! She is now all set for a very special Valentine’s Day!
So there you have it! Hope you enjoyed the show! Just a snippet of what the quilters are doing at the Cowichan Heritage Quilt Guild!!
Have a FUN Friday and Happy Stitching!~P
How nice to see all those cross stitch ornaments made up! I have many of the patterns, but haven't started them at all. They are so pretty, though! If only we had the time to do it all...
ReplyDeleteGreat work, everyone! Thanks, Paulette. :D
Busy ladies! Love the back of that quilt. I need to put a little bit of work into mine occasionally.:)
ReplyDeleteLove that first quilt Paulette....and Hazels quilting!!
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh...I am so inspired by all these projects. Love how you show us what everyone is working on. Awesome projects! And thanks for the link for the Red Brolly Design...love it!
ReplyDeleteWere the ornaments from a kit? I remember playing with cross stitch on paper a long time ago. I don't think I ended up making anything. These are beauties.
ReplyDeleteSuch a talented and prolific group - they all inspire me!
ReplyDeleteI love those cross stitch Halloween ornaments!! Does anyone know where to get the pattern or who published it? I want to get them for my sister.
