Day 4 of our Fall Book Reveal…

Welcome back for more Fall FUN!  I hope you like this book…I have talked about it before…it’s an oldie but a goodie and I LOVE IT!!

It’s called “Primitive Gatherings’ by Terry Burkhart and Rozan Meacham…(not to be confused with Primitive Gatherings and Lisa Bongean).

This book is different than all the others…I have ACTUALLY made something out of this book!!  :o))

I made this wool penny and gifted it to a friend!  LOVED it…and so did my friend!  Check out those hexagon pennies!

And of course the ‘Country Homecoming Quilt’…which was part of Cotton ‘n Wools Sew A-Long!  I am SEW glad I jumped on the band wagon with this one…LOVE this quilt!  Thanks, Anne!

And of course there is THAT cover quilt…with the basket of eggs, the church and the wheelbarrow of pumpkins!  Got to love it!

Not to mention ALL of the wool projects in this book…

BUT it is this simple wee THANKSGIVING table mat that has captured my heart!  So simple but SEW dang sweet!  LOOK at the beige border with all the things that YOU are thankful for embroidered around it!  SWOON!  *L*O*V*E* it!

  8. I have this book and I've made three of the Thanks Giving quilts! Just worked out that I cut enough squares, etc. to do three. Sews up fast. Mine look exactly like the quilt pictured in the book cause I purchased all of those brushed cottons when the book came out. I also hand quilted mine and thought it was worth the time. Enjoy!
