This is it folks…we are at the end of our Fall Book Tour…have you ‘gathered’ your thoughts and guessed that the last book of the tour is ‘Autumn Gatherings’ By Primitive Gatherings’ Lisa Bongean and Carole Charles?!
This book is one of my all time favourites…chock full of Autumn goodness!
You will find tons of wool work projects…correction tons of GORGEOUS wool work!
And sweet, sweet quilts and runners!
Adorable wall hangings too!
Did I mention wool work? Thought SEW…
I had a hard time locating my copy of this book…that’s because I was storing it in a plastic bin with this yummy yarn dyed fabric!!
Let me fold back some of the fabrics so that you can see those rich Fall colours…
Perfect to make this quilt called ‘Leaf Pile’…and yes, my fabric is cut into 2 1/2” strips, ready and WAITING to make some of those ‘leaves’! AND no I am NOT going to tell you how long those ‘leaves’ have been waiting…let’s just say, it’s been a looong time!!
Yup…this is going to be a fun quilt to make! I think it’s been waiting long enough…don’t you agree?!
I hope you enjoyed my week of Fall Books…YOU should try it…you will be amazed at the books (and projects) that you will unearth!!!
Maybe in November I can do a Christmas Book Tour…did you notice I said November? I have so many Christmas Books that it would clearly take me a whole month!! And heaven only knows the projects I would unearth!! YIKES!! Do I really want to go there?
Have a wicked Wednesday and happy stitching!~P
I have been looking through buy old issues and didn't see that one, gotta relook at that issue, like some of the mats;)

Three out of seven soon to be four is the number of your fall favorites that I too have. Pumpkin Patch Treads has been on my wish list for too long. Most of my fall quilts have come from seaaonal magazines. Please do this for Christmas books! It's been so fun.
ReplyDeleteIt's been fun. And makes us long for fall colored leaves and pumpkins. Thanks Paulette !
ReplyDeleteI don't think this one is available any longer. I have been looking for it.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for all the fall book showings! I'm really enjoying it!
ReplyDeleteThanks for showing some of your lovely fall quilt books. I don't have any dedicated fall books, but looking through my bookshelf, there are quite a few with fall projects; pumpkins, leaves, etc, and I have a couple of Cheri Payne fall patterns with pumpkins and turkeys. I still can't seem to get my WIPs down to a reasonable size, so guess those pumpkins and such will have to wait until next year. Love the "Leaf Pile" quilt and your fabric choices are great. Hope you are able to get started on this one soon.
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed the tour. Thanks for all the inspiration.
ReplyDeleteI have that book too and ,yep, there are so many I'd love to do. But then...I usually find so many I'd love to do in all my books. Are you like that too? :)
ReplyDeleteI think we all are the same. Love your fabrics for the leaf quilt. Great colors!
Great reviews! I have Country Comforts, and met Cheryl a few years ago. You've reminded me how great her patterns are. I hope you do a Christmas book review!!
