…REALLY is a midget!! And she is adorable!! She is small…16 inches by 20 inches but oh so sweet!! She is a long way from being perfect but that’s OK…that’s what makes her mine…;o)
The pattern for the churn dash block is the one that I found on Sentiment Stitches Blog..as part of the free Midget blocks (Number 19). Gay is giving away 92 Midget Blocks..but I just wanted this one.
The little corner squares are only 3/8 inches finished… I think she is going to be a wall hanging…I don’t want her to get dirty laying on a table! I would forever be yelling “Don’t put your cup down there!!” “NOOOO not on the Midget…!” Yes, life will be calmer with her on a wall. :o)
So now all that needs to be done is the quilting and binding…I think the Midget will be hanging around for many years to come…Don’t you just love having a quilt that you like/love hanging on the wall to greet you everyday. When I come in the front door I am greeted by my little Schnibble quilt, Rooibos and he makes me so happy!! I always tell him…"Looking good today, Roo!” …I think I am going to be feeling the same way about my little Midget!
Have a Frisky Friday (FRIDAY ALREADY???) and Happy Quilting…

oooo, she's adorable. Lovely job, Paulette!!!
ReplyDeleteI am in love with your midget, it is just gorgeous. I love the wee corner squares and the way you have used the various fabrics in the thin border. What did you use for the background? Is it calico? My little mini hangs on the wall outside my sewing room/office (notice the priorities here?) and I just give it a wink and a smile every time I go into the room.
ReplyDeleteMidge is beautiful, but how on earth can you work with pieces that small?
ReplyDeleteLove your midget .... how sweet it is!
ReplyDeleteReally great midget quilt Paulette. Love the blocks & what you have done with them! There is something special about midgets I think.
ReplyDeleteOh, how darling. I have never made a miniature quilt before. This pattern look like one I could maybe handle.
ReplyDeleteOh, she is absolutely wonderful! I LOVE this little cutie, the blocks, the colours you have chosen and the setting! You know I thought your blocks were cute while you were piecing, but seeing her all sewn together, she is just fabulous!! She most definitely have to be protected from stains and dirt by finding a place on a wall :o)
ReplyDeleteI love it and I would want that on a wall too where I could stare at it all day :-)
