Mama’s SO Proud!

I am going to start my blog this morning by crowing a bit…Mamas have GOT to do that once in awhile!

Last week my youngest daughter Hayley emailed with the news that the job that she has been ‘waiting’ for finally came through and she will be moving to Ottawa this summer…She went off to Ottawa a few years ago to get her Masters in Economics at Queens University…and fell in love with Ottawa and made some wonderful friends along the way.  I knew this would happen…when they fly the coop, they REALLY fly the coop!!  Mama Hen is proud but sad…you want your children to be independent, health and happy adults so this is a step in the right directions!  It’s just so darn hard!! AND SO far away!

My three daughters~Hayley, Erin (Gr. 6 teacher) and Maggie.

Yesterday my middle daughter Maggie emailed with HER good news!!  Maggie has worked really hard for the last seven years..getting her Bachelor of Arts Degree and then last year getting her Laws Degree!  She got the news that she has been hired as an Articling Student for a large firm in Vancouver!!  It is the Law Firm that she wanted…so she will article for a year and then write the Bar exam!!  Whew!  Mama is SO proud!!  AND Maggie will be in Vancouver…so she can come home for the weekend…once in a while!!

So CONGRATULATIONS GIRLS!!  MAMA IS SO PROUD OF ALL OF YOU!!

Thanks for letting me crow…it felt REALLY good!  Nothing is better than watching your children grow and succeed as adults!

And if you are wondering what Mama is doing today…she’s off to Santa Fe..with Papa! ;o)

Have a fun Friday and Happy Quilting!

You are so right...it is a great feeling when they succeed in life. I have a son and daughter that I adore. Pop over to blueberry plains some time....I will definitely be back here!
