Getting the Job Done!…

So when my husband said that it was time to get the 5th Wheel all ready for travelling..do you think he had this in mind?

While he was outside doing his jobs, I quickly basted some batting onto a piece of black wool…then I traced this flower pattern onto some heat and bond…ironed it onto the wool…

     Cut out the pieces …  I had lots of help…shhhheesh..

    I am doing the flowers in red…I know the wool looks a bit orange but it’s really a lovely burgundy red colour.  And then I tacked all the little pieces down with little dots of Baste It Glue..

Whew…done!!  I put this project into the Ziploc ready to be stitched while travelling!!  My hope is that it will become a pillow for this month’s OPAM challenge.

    Hey, don’t look at us…WE did our jobs!!

Now I have got to do my REAL jobs!!

So we say goodbye to Desert Hot Springs…sigh…WE LOVE IT HERE!!  But we’ll be back next year!! 

Now it’s onto New Mexico before heading home…I hear they have lovely quilt shops in Albuquerque…;o)
