A Sweet Christmas!

Whew!  The fudge is made….I can put my feet up now!

I am going to share this fudge recipe with you because it is so easy and SO delicious and the kids would be disappointed if I didn’t make it.  So these are the ingredients…ONLY 5 things!!  You got to like that….

P1040301

Throw the stuff in a bowl (except the peanut butter) and mix….easy peezy… P1040302

Put the whole bowl in the microwave and melt….stir….Put half of the fudge in the greased pan…add the peanut butter to the rest of the fudge and put this on top!  Done!!  Chill, cut and eat….delicious!!  Creamy and just the right sweetness…the peanut butter seems to cut the sweetness. P1040303 Here’s the exact recipe:

Chocolate Peanut Butter Fudge

2 C. mini marshmallows

2 C. Chocolate Chips (Semi Sweet)

1 Can of sweeten Condensed Milk

1 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla

Mix and microwave until melted (or melt on a stove).

Pour half of the batter into a square pan.  Add 1/2 C. peanut butter to the rest of the batter and mix well (and fast!).  Spread on top of the first layer.  Chill and cut!  Enjoy!  It’s Christmas so there are no calories!

Other News~  I am so excited~   we have started to pack the 5th Wheel as we are planning on leaving for Palm Springs on Dec. 29th!  We are so fortunate that a friend will be moving into our home to house sit while we are gone.   We decided to pack up early as the kids are coming home on Wednesday - which doesn’t leave much time for other things…like shopping for dinners, buying a turkey and all the trimmings…etc. etc. etc.  They are planning on leaving on the 28th so we will tidy up (take down the decorations) and hopefully leave the next day.  Nothing like rushing out the door after they leave…

On the quilting front~

Fit to be Framed is in a Tupperware container ready to be stitched…P1040304  Another project that I will be working on while we drive down South will  be Rosalie Quinlan’s Little Patchwork Village.  It is so sweet…with nine different  little houses to stitch…

This is Rosalie’s version…very pretty!

I am planning on stitching the little houses in chocolate brown and doing the rest of the quilt in the colours of this dear little pin cushion(which was a gift from a special friend).  I love these colours….

P1040308   I have traced all the houses onto good quality muslin and tonight I will iron the stabilizer on the back. Then they will get put into their own little Tupperware container – with all the things that I will need for the project.

So the fudge is made…see the feet are up….I can almost feel the sunshine….P1040257

Yes, the toes have been done and they are itching for sun and sand…..but for now….brrrrrrrrr… now where did I put my socks?

Have a snowy/sunny (depending on where you live…) Sunday and Happy Quilting!

  1. Lucky you - your three daughters home for Christmas, then off to the sunshine. I could actually say the same though - our three girls will be here for Christmas day and then we leave for a nice two week break to Kauai on Jan. 11th.
    Love that stitchery project, too!

  5. Your fudge sounds lovely...easy peasy! However...we have an allergy in the house that won't allow peanut fudge. :-(
Some fun in the sun this time of year sounds devine and getting four months even better! Enjoy!!

  6. It looks like you're ready for quality stitching time, Miss fancy feet. I'm looking forward to seeing the Little Patchwork Village in the browns. Lori's designs are on my wish list.

Thanks for the recipe. I think I'll see if I can rope one of the kids into making it. :-)
