I took these pictures over a week ago while riding my bike past the local Lavendar Farm…ahhh I can still remember the smell…wonderful!!
Our little sub-division is surrounded by farm country…farms of all kinds…lots of dairy farms, llama and alpaca, chickens and horses.. not to forget about the vast number of vineyards, raspberries, blueberries, and Saskatoon berries, even a cheese producing farm … and then there’s the lavender farm. I do love lavender…
…one of these days I must stop at their little shop…
Meanwhile not much sewing happening at my house…just a lot of THIS…
We are getting rid of the old terracotta tile and putting down new tile..what a job!! I knew it was going to be bad…but not this bad!
But we got it done…well at least got the tiles off!! I will spare you the blisters and on my stitching hand!! Today we need to fill in some of the holes with cement and tomorrow lay the new tiles…wish us luck!
Speaking of luck…the WINNER…of the Stitching Lines and other goodies is…POKEY!! I see that she lives in Ontario, California…HOME of the Road to California!! Lucky lady indeed!! So Pokey send me your snail’s mail address and I will get this to you!! And I hope it won’t be too pokey…couldn’t resist!
Have a SUNNY Sunday and Happy Quilting!~P
We used to have farms around us, but some of them sold off the land, so all new homes. Miss the days when I could walk around the fields.

I was reading along, and noticing the patterns of blocks in your pictures...did you see them, Paulette? The lavender seems to be planted in little blocks! and I actually thought the residual patterns left from your tiles were pretty, too. (And yes, I've done tile removal, and it was a bear of a job!)
ReplyDeleteThen, I saw I was the Lucky lady in your title, I went bact to the top of the post, I didn't even catch that the first time, I always think you're the lucky one, with all your travels and stitchin'!
Thank you, Paulette, I'm tickled to be lucky ~
